I do feel bad for the kid. I imagine he was hoping for some kind of support from the American Anime scene. Instead, he was left out to dry and immediately got a C&D. A C&D is nothing more than a threat of a lawsuit, but it can be extremely intimidating.

Sadly the "own the libs" types are the ones who should stay silent the most when it comes to dealing with the Left at all because they just make it harder to hold the Left to any accountability for their actions and what they promote.
When it comes to having the moral ground the Left (especially on Twitter) have the mentality of enabled spoiled children. Even when something is blatantly their fault they will deflect to the right wing, alt-right, chuds, incels, Anti-SJWs or whatever group that isn't aligned with them and blame them for their problems. Practically every other group is ridiculed and belittled on Twitter at some point but it's only harassment and cyberbullying when it happens to the Left because they are only ones that aren't held to any kind of standard.

I mean, Travis Willingham got interested in pursuing voice-acting because he recognized Laura Bailey's voice when he caught an episode of DBZ on TV. Think an agency he was working for offered him an audition through FUNimation if he didn't contact them himself about auditions, but honestly, if you're impressed by certain voice-acting no matter the show it is, that's a valid reason to look more into that field. (And it ends happily for Travis and Laura, so anime voice-acting can bring people together.)
Daman claims to be a fan of anime, but it only states he was a super fan of Pokémon and DBZ, suggesting his circle of influence is very limited and he may not have expanded his knowledge of anime dubs outside the mainstream. Given he sucked ass in his debut role and yet he was able to go out and find more work, the industry was hurting for new talent, especially in the New York scene at the time.
There's also no word on if Trayce was also an anime fan, though I don't see how entering the anime industry to get more boi pussy is a motive that works long-term.
EDIT: Also from the citations, here's a basic bitch interview he gave for Anime USA. I'm honestly failing to see how he is an anime fan with these answers.

Sony should actually do this. It'll serve as a great litmus test. Think about it, they sperg out over it, drag Sony's name through the mud, Sony then have an excuse to fire them and boom. They get sacked/thrown out with the bathwater, the industry has less of these melts and Sony don't look as bad since they had a reasonable excuse to fire/get rid of them. The dubbing industry then has less of these retards in it (because what, you think Sentai is going to accept these guys who got fired for shit talking the company?) and everything's better as a result.

Something worth mentioning is that the earliest posts tagging Daman on Facebook are from 2010 and all of these posts tag the same group of people. One of the posts is a prompt asking where they met and most of them mention meeting on a Tales Of fanforum or a forum called Tales of Smash. So either these were his forum buddies or people he met at cons. Also his posts from 2011 are him commenting on Sonny Strait's community page. Daman's behavior is very inline with a lot of other con weebs from that era so I wouldn't be able to say for sure if he was a fake weeb.
