The big difference between Putin's Rossiya and other ex SSRs seems to be a clear ability to put the ill behaved plutocrats in the ground or straitened perma exile. However, one or two zapped with their stuff divvied out in okay times is different from now. The RU military performance so far seems mediocre, and the oligarchs have suffered both annoyance (curbs on their Euro leisure) and financial loss. It might result in a coalition of interests harmful to Putin, if he seems to be lashing out. They've resources enough for now. Germany buys their gas, but are squeezed. If a peace deal happens soon, he might have the time and space to cut down the tall poppies.

Otherwise, we'll see. Putin is looking weak not strong now. Zelenskyy just has to abide. Putin has to do way more than take some villages and surround Kyiv a bit more.
It's as if our elite assumes Russia works the same way the West did before Clown World, in which money gives you power.

Random rich Russian dude explains that sanctioning people like him doesn't affect Putin.
It's interesting how when Russia shoots traditionally civilian targets that Ukraine is using for military operations like schools and there is collateral damage it's a big problem but according to the same media when Israel blows up Hamas who hides rockets in schools and there is collateral damage it isn't a problem at all? Why is this?
We all know that the Jews are running the show.

Right, I am one of the few people here countering the Russian bullshit, so I must have an agenda. Funny thing was I was right there thinking that a lot of the Russia hate is overblown. Hell I still think most of the sanctions by companies especially is counter productive, and the reach of Russia's cyberwarfare efforts also overblown.

Then the war breaks out, and every counter culture populist rightie, or anti establishment lib starts tossing out reams after reams of bullshit about how the war is all the USs fault. The best being a talk by a professor from like six years ago. You know who has even worse foreign policy proscriptions than the DoD? Foreign Policy professors who couldn't even get a job doing what they wanted to do and actually influence government policy.

And in all of that, not even a nominal discussion of Putin's part in it. They act as if Putin and Ukraine have no agency, that US actions control everything they do, which is arrogant as fuck. It's the "White people cause minority crime!" argument on an international scale. Of course, the US negotiations have had an effect, of course, Ukraine not folding to Putin had an effect, but you know who is the most to blame for Putin invading?

Fucking Putin.

Everyone just constantly spouting every random-ass bit of info found on Russian media or Tiktok is 100% on the level. Some of the shit is plausible, Russia is likely doing better than the Ukrainians would want us to think. Ukraine clearly uses propaganda to sell their plight on the international stage, because without assistance they are likely fucked. The Ghost of Kyiv is rightfully mocked. Yet not even a smidge of questioning the Putin narrative as a whole.

Here is the truth, Russia should have never fucking invaded. They were wrong to do so and every excuse they have is ridiculous on its face. Putin has a history of convincing people that whatever he is doing isn't so bad, really... by half-truths and flat-out lies. He knows no one will ever actually like him on the world stage, so he has to. He just miscalculated this time.

And he jerks off in his room while crying wishing he was as badass as Papa Joe.

But block away boyo, no skin of my back. Don't even try to listen to the other side.
lol wtf ?

Not very related to the topic.
Can an American or someone with knowledge on their schooling system indulge me in answering a question?
I find it peculiar that a lot of American jewtubers struggle to death with foreign names.
Is phonetic transcription taught in schools and people just forget with time? Or are they taught only in like, linguistics schools?
English doesn't use accent marks so we never learn them, and we never learn the basic conventions of foreign names so we can read them accurately. There's also so many foreign names here, it's called Muttland for a reason. And English spelling is 110% fucked so we just expect that spelling and pronunciation is this high-minded, difficult thing. I've shocked people here by telling them spelling bees aren't a thing in nearly every other language.

I think you're mistaken. It's not that the US couldn't crack down on the Floyd spergfest, it's more that they didn't want to. The Floyd rioters are in the pocket of globohomo, why would they send their own military and police against their own useful idiots? Besides, the damage that was done by the "Summer of Love" only really hurt the middle classes - something that the US government actively wants to destroy, to ensure that their neofeudalistic plans can succeed.

The Floyd protests were a mostly successful attempt by the the US government to deploy color revolution tactics at home. Police were ordered not to do anything. In Minneapolis, they even marched through residential areas and shot homeowners with less-than-lethal rounds to force them back inside and prevent them from doing anything to interfere with the riots. We had domestic terrorists coordinating across states and online to attack federal buildings and private citizens; nothing was done because they were supported by their local DAs.

Jan 6 was, for the most part, a genuinely populist attempt to do something about transparent election corruption in 2020. IMO it was driven by a mistaken belief on the part of those involved that the government couldn't stop the Floyd riots. Turns out that when the government wants to, it can throw you in indefinite solitary confinement with no charges or trial.

People who took advanced phonics classes where you learn the roots of English words and how to recognize when, in this case, something has a French-origin dipthong in it and therefore doesn't follow normal rules will pronounce it more or less correctly.

Source: We taught phonics from K-5 in my school.
Lucky bastards. I didn't get a real taste of the root of English until I qualified for AP English in High School.
Rather than sending billions of aid to other countries to fight a war, perhaps we should redistribute this into our educational system.
You know, bring EVERYONE up to the same standard. It's always surreal to find out how shitty your education was when you compare it to someone else who just happened to be in a different district.

Imagine being a State pig who works for debased currency. Imagine being a state pig who tyrannizes citizens longer - for less shekels. Oy vey...

An interesting take i read about the sudden recall of the russian planes some hours ago.

"Apparently lavrov was in a meeting (being filmed by foreign media so not staged), at the same time as the planes were taking off from moscow, if anything really serious was happening he would be inside of one of those planes. Since many of these planes turned around and returned to moscow, it's a possibility that they were sent to pick people up for a meeting there, the only thing we can do is speculate since the only avaliable info we have comes from air tracking, besides, why would they use easily tracked planes for moving politicians around bunkers? It's basically telling the enemy where you are dropping your guys".

There has been devaluation of the ruble inside Russia, I've seen pictures of restaurants just adding in 20%+ stickers on the price of dishes just because they expect further devaluation, the Western brands leaving is obviously going to be more near term shock and awe than trade sanctions.

I agree with almost every sentiment in this post, also I've noticed that the US government at large doesn't even begin to bother with fair dealings any longer and just tries brute forcing everything. But this is true for almost all "globohomo" infected countries. There was a change in the winds during 2020 (I include Jan 6th as part of this) and I think almost every American citizen perceived it in some way or another, the US government is weak, its a paper tiger; rampaging rioters routed the Minneapolis police with just their fists. Had it been an armed revolt the US government would have been absolutely FUCKED, the Floyd riots were massive and almost every city in the country had a riot that did extreme damage or ended up with police getting overwhelmed for periods of time. Eventually the government is going to attempt its usual brute forcing of an issue and the response is going to be "I choose violence." The longer this stagflation and crime wave persists the more likely people are going to roll the iron dice and get into shootouts with police and national guard units. Even during the Floyd riots the police had extreme issues with every asshole with a gun firing on them as they drove around in convoys, effectively abandoning most cities for the evening.

Fortunately for the government this was just venting off covid lockdown stress, but add in years of stagflation and heavy crime and the citizenry may not just let up at a single weekend worth of rioting. Russia right now is dealing with the horrifying realization that irregular forces can and will savage your army. I fully believe that this era of centralized states has crested and is on the back slide and we're going towards a decline before new methods of governance are erected.
What a load of shit. Cuba, a floating turd populated by mystery meat Spanish speakers, has survived American sanctions for coming on 60 years. Iran 40 years. Even South Africa got by perfectly fine for decades.

Russia is in a far stronger position. It's self sufficient in food and energy and it can buy almost all the tech it needs from China. Yes no more western fast food chains. Channel bags and Rolex watches will be unobtanium, so what?

The biggest irony is that as the war progresses the price of hydrocarbons and basic commodities has skyrocketed which is bolstering the Russian war effort. The Europeans are funneling more hard currency into Russian coffers than ever and for all the bluster it's impossible to stop buying from the planet's biggest producer of natural gas and oil.

Yes sanctioning Russia will for sure lead to political instability only not in Russia. Putin has banned the export of grain and fertilizer. The west are about to experience a migration wave from the middle east that will make the Syrian refugee crisis look like a trickle.

This is the problem with burgerstani's, they actually believe that their debt soaked financialized economy is mirrored everywhere else, it's not. Russia has zero net debt, it runs a massive trade surplus, and it produces stuff that is fundamental to the global economy. Nation's can get by without Disney movies and KFC, electricity and wheat? Not so much. The stuff that Russia makes it's living from the west is still buying, will continue to buy and paying a premium for to boot.

Even if I believed that, which I don't, spreading radioactive contamination everywhere is a lot gayer and riskier and a lot more expensive than just shooting the fucker in the head.
1)You illiterate nigger, H. Bergeron was kind enough to provide a link to a news article right in the post that describes Litvinenko as "A Prominent Defector." It's not even up for debate.
2)Nobody was spreading radioactive contamination because it had never happen AND they deserved it.

I want full access to stickers here, it’s just funny how the only way you can express impotent anger at a post now is with a “dislike.”
Mostly because Null got tired of dealing with the drama behind internet stickers on an site that filled with manchildren being trolled.

I remember seeing someone genuinely getting pissed off by how gay the new "disagree" one sounded.

I disagree, I live near Philadelphia and I can see that the US government is losing control over vast swaths of the immediate region. If you walk around Kensington or any part of the Philly badlands you will INSTANTLY realize that the government has absolutely no control over this area, they're just visitors. https://youtu.be/cOBoDT-3oM0 is just one small area of Kensington, the Philly badlands is fucking huge and the police have effectively surrendered these sections of the city and only intervene when murders and violent crime occurs, they show up and immediately depart once the crisis ends or crime scene is fully processed. Anything that goes on in the badlands is effectively invisible to Federal authorities unless it blows up or kills someone. This is just one city in the US with this level of blight and loss of control, I'm sure I could go to LA, Chicago, St Louis, Detriot, any major city. The south Bronx was infamous for its total lawlessness in the 70s and 80s and when a region gets that way for a long period of time they do not take kindly to some asshole in a suit trying to brute force them into doing what they do not like. If this stagflation, insane food and gas prices continue upward while paired with the crime wave you're going to see people just start gunning down cops and Feds because they're just in the way and provide absolutely zero protections or benefits to the average person. That the US managed to dig itself out of the 70-80s crime and economic malaise is probably one of the most poorly understood events in US history, most young people don't realize how fucking shit the country was for a long period of time.

I think Putin managed to time his invasion of Ukraine quite well, the US is in rapid decay and I think would almost certainly have been more capable of dealing with the invasion between 2015-2019. Everywhere I go I just feel a sense of apprehension from people around me, everyone gives off the feeling that they're just going through the motions and is just putting on a brave face for each other, totally accepting the fact that shit is bad and is almost certainly going to get worse.
