Someday soon, we may actually have sci-fi drone vs drone dogfights in the skies...
>Drones are too tiny and fast to be reliably hit with conventional AA weaponry
>Lets build bigger Drones made to kill other Drones
>The regular drones now have to upgrade to start battling the now stronger bigger drones that hunt them down
>Its an arms race to develop the biggest meanest drone in the hood
>It's 2040
>Drone warfare has completely taken over
>The pentagon has just revealed their newest tech promised to revolutionize the now dominant drone warfare
>Its just the fucking F-35 AGAIN

Honestly, the only propaganda that seems to have some effect is the line that Vladimir Putin is /pol/‘s poster boy that’s taking on the woke West and giving that structure a much needed punch to the teeth. IIRC, one person here even said Putin was fighting for the right for countries not named the United States to declare war and use the military to settle conflicts.
That one person was Nool, lol. And I actually agree with him. If Russia succeeds in the long term here, that means America's time as the sole hegemon is coming to an end.

Whether or not that's good for you, depends on whether your country has been relying on Uncle Sam to prop up your independence, and your proximity to aspiring major powers. And if you're American well I guess you may be in for interesting times.

Theoretically, you try to go for the particularly big weakness of them being remote controlled.
It's a big problem cause "Drone" really means a lot of things.

A missile is kinda like a drone.
A quadcopter can be a drone.
You can just make a plane a drone.

With the right control systems, there is nothing theoretically preventing a drone from going dark to it's control system.

You don't design "Counter Drone" weapons, you have to fight the drone based on it's design weaknesses. You can just shoot a fucking quadcopter and it's done. A predictor drone not so much.

The best counter to a drone in all likely hood is probably.
"another drone, but ours is cheaper"
Or just release 99 red balloons, maybe it will fuck with em.
Like if you could make a minefield in the sky...

The victory conditions of this war require Ukraine to be Fully dead.
Low-key wanting a genocide. NGMI.

You’re wrong about Russian propaganda. People in this thread mostly believe American casualty figures and disregard Russia’s, for starters. Anybody trying to say “only 500 Russians have died” would get laughed at. Nobody’s even disputing that Russia’s logistics have been shit or that it is doing worse than people generally expected it to. People just aren’t buying the retarded bullshit about Ukraine being on the cusp of victory, or the idea that Putin is a genocidal madman without reasonable geopolitical goals, or the even more retarded belief that America and NATO dindu nuffin.
I do find it funny how some people think Ukraine is gonna win solely based on Russia not conquering them as quickly as some armchair experts predicted.

Literally the ONLY ones predicting an Odessa amphibious landing attack are AZOV and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
Which should tell you all that's needed to know by this stage of the operation.
Landing attack makes no sense when they can just blockade from the sea while lobbing the occasional cruise missile at enemy installations, and wait for the ground forces to catch up and surround the city on land.

They do still control Western Ukraine, so they have a literal half of a country to land safely.
I thought Russia wrecked all their air assets in the first couple days via airstrikes and cruise missiles.

But based on the Russian performance so far, I shouldn't be surprised that they didn't get them all...

There's a guy on a YouTube channel called "FNG Academy", ex Green Beret, who said he was thinking of going to UKr. But, his wife wouldn't let him.
I'm not sure how a few years as a YouTuber affects your combat effectiveness.

I considered going because I saw the entire History Channel series on becoming a Navy Seal but then I remembered I couldn't handle that one time I got sand in my shorts on a hike. War is hell probably because of the chaffing

Realistically? Anti-Drone Drones. They'll end up making drones that specialize in hunting down and destroying other drones.
They probably already exist but are kept secret.

so kind of like people developed interceptors and air superiority fighters specifically to shoot down enemy planes?
i wonder how long it will take until someone actually fields an interceptor drone and uses it to shoot down enemy predators or bayraktars.

Jfc what's with everyone going off about adding people to their ignore list? Accept other opinions exist and fucking deal with it. We're here to sperg about war, not each other.
The problem isn't that there are conflicting opinions, it's that people shitpost like madmen because they're so emotionally about this conflict and produce no worthwhile commentary. Those people are worth blocking.

F'ing awesome. My iodine pills arrived!!
No. They're not for the coming nooclear attack. I developed an honest to goodness iodine deficiency. I gave up salt a while back. If you do that and notice the outer edges our your eyebrows disappear try iodine.
But now the panic is screwing availability.

If you have any symptoms you'd like me to diagnose let me know. Google isn't blocking everything yet.
I switched to sea salt a few years ago and had to grab a bottle of those, folks don't realise iodine really only comes from salt and only because they add it to salt.

You do that and the 2 threads suddenly turn into a single one with 20 pages, there's a reason the designated mod quit

That's a big if from what's been happening so far, and even if Russia manages to occupy Ukraine they shown their hand in a few ways,
A). Their conventional army is a bit of a paper tiger, or at least massively overestimated, despite supposedly spending the 2nd most of any country on it.
B.) Their military is just as corrupt as their government is. With at least a third to a half the money that was supposed to improve the military probably going into someone's pocket.
C.) Their Generals in combat have the lifespan of a Lemming
D.) They're about to become Xi's bitch
