Hot Take: It's not religion nor race, it's society. Specifically, it's the culture. Even if you take these people out of the ME or Africa they will likely be growing up in families and communities that are aligned to the culture where they come from. These cultures usually have a lot of worse ideals like giving less value to human life and seeing women as inferior or even worse as objects (which leads to high rape and murder rates).

The reason people care isnt because Ukranians are white and everyone is racist. The reason mouthbreathing normies care about Ukraine and not Palestine is because the media puts it in front of them. People arent ignoring Yemen because they hate brown people. For decades the useful idiots in the west has not been properly primed to be whipped up into a proper frenzy either for or against war as it's been too compex. In Iraq and Afganistan for example, the US was an obvious badguy because west bad. But it also was our nations doing the offensives, our military's boots on other nation's soil.

In the case of Russia vs Ukraine there's nothing holding back the easy narrative unless you dig a bit.

- Another nation (Russia) is the de facto militarily aggressor (as in they are geographically fightng in the other's country)
- Russians are ethnically on the bottom of the progressive stack (yes, the Russian Federation is actually rather multiethnic, but the leadership is primary european russian)

Most likely those electronics are already built in the US or a US ally. While I think China makes up about 25% of the market, with Hong Kong another 20%, about 30% is made in the US, Germany?, and Taiwan, and then about another 30% assorted countries.

Those nations have a right to defend their sovereignty, yes, but when people are coming out and waving your nation's flag and giving your troops gifts as they invade, you really can't say it's a completely cut and dry issue. This happened in Chechnya, South Ossetia, Crimea, and Donbass. It's a sentiment that's been around since the USSR fell. Not everyone, especially in states besides Russia, wanted to be split off into their own groups, and a lot of people in a lot of those countries wanted to join back up with Russia itself. Not all of them want to sure, but enough that every place had its own separation movement, or in Chechnya's case, people begging Russia to drive out what was becoming an openly terroristic Islamic dictatorship.

Not everyone, especially in states besides Russia, wanted to be split off into their own groups, and a lot of people in a lot of those countries wanted to join back up with Russia itself.

There was a vote on if to dissolve the USSR, a lot of the Republics that broke away did not allow their people to participate in that vote, but they were able to vote in Russia & Ukraine & the majority in those two countries voted to keep the USSR. The vote was disregarded & the rest went the way it went.
