After looking at it again, I think you're right. The little title in blue just says "Rare Disease Shout Out" - no mention of her claiming all those diseases. I think the confusion came from her claiming at least one of them before.
It's still hilarious that Victoria thinks her half-assed tiktok will ever reach the hypothetical New Guinean tribal person who is too busy suffering from kuru to watch her silly little dance. Even something like Stevens Johnson syndrome, if you have it then you're probably too busy being sick to be watching tiktoks by some munchie who looks like the grandma you get stuck behind in the checkout line because she can't figure out the chip reader. Even the munchies who claim to have some of the random "trendy" vascular compression disorders she listed don't give a shit about Victoria and the twin she cannibalized in utero.
It's also worth noting that nobody suffers from Kuru anymore. The virus itself (specifically, Kuru, obviously other prion diseases still exist) largely died out, because the Kore people stopped cannibalizing in the 60s. It has a long incubation period, sure (up to 50 years iirc), but there haven't been any deaths from it since 2010.
I thought it was a prion disease not a virus? Prion diseases aren't caused by viruses, they're caused by proteins that get misfolded and then misfold every protein near them. I don't think kuru is much of a problem anymore but New Brunswick has a "mystery neurological disease" that might be caused by prions and surgical tools used on people with dementia brain plaques could probably spread prions to healthy people. It's something that's been speculated about. Maybe one day we'll have a prion pandemic.
I missed the small title where she was "shouting out" random disorders. I encourage her to the first person to claim kuru from eating your fetus twin.

I recognised Kuru the second I saw it in the list because it was featured in an early X-Files episode and never forgot about it because it was so interesting.

Correct, it is a disease, not a virus. Messed up on my word choice. Prion diseases are a subject of interest to me (studied them heavily in undergrad) so this is just...so hilarious to me.
As I said before, the person with last known case of Kuru died around 2010 (can't remember the exact date), and when you combine that with the fact that the Kore people stopped doing the cannibalizing back in the 60s...it's very much not a problem. Other prion diseases are very much still in play--CJD is proof of that--but I refuse to take seriously anyone who even thinks they have Kuru.
I learned about Morgellons from watching UFO documentaries, apparently it's a potential result of alien abduction. <insert eye roll here> Didn't know it was a munchie thing, too till I started reading this thread.
Maybe munchies are actually alien abductees and that's where all their illnesses come from? Imagine adding "alien abductee" to their munchie resume? I bet that would up their cred quite a bit!

Including Kuru in a rare disease shoutout is just bizarre, as is a rare disease shoutout period. Well that was amusing anyway, What fucking list did she pull those from though?

Vickie dump from today, including her weird explanation of her rare disease video. She says she “has a lot of her twin” on the right side of her body?? Tf??

I don't go in this thread often because I get MATI so easily, BUT holy shit if you have Stevens Johnson syndrome, you don't even have any skin left to hold a smartphone with and fag about on twatter, tardtok or facefuck.
I actually have one of the disorders often mentioned by these munchie retards and can confirm:
a) it is manageable and a LOT of doctors know about it now
b) when I am sick, I am way too sick to be chimping out about it on social media and when I feel good, I just want to live life, you know, like a normal person
c) most of them are top-tier fucking retarded when it comes to faking the symptoms and complications of the illness, I can see right through their sick shit. I can't help but notice, none of the people in this thread with my disorder seem to receive any of the treatments or therapies I've received that help me live a normal life, that my doctors have determined is medically necessary.
This is why I never go near any groups or events for my illness because it's more munchies than actual normal people with the diagnosis just trying to live life. Watching people cosplay my illness I've had since childhood, that's affected everything about my life, makes me want to set things on fire. That is all, thanks for letting me have this moment of Zen. Love you kiwis

the twinless twin video she is using a filter that gives you two different colored eyes no matter what color eyes you have. What a bizarre creature.
And if her "conjoined twin" was identical they'd have the same fucking eye color.

I have little hope she will actually respond to this question because it would out her as either the worst liar ever, the dumbest person alive, or both. But I got the screenshot just in case she realizes that the “two sets of dna” from her IDENTICAL “conjoined” twin tiktok blows her cover and dirty deletes. She’s a gift that keeps on giving.

The hell does she think her bizarre identical-but-not-identical twin theory has anything to do with mtDNA specifically? It is inherited from the mother (bits of paternal mtDNA can be involved, but that isn't what she claiming). Mutations are actually very common ( https://www.nature.com/articles/nrg3966 ) and most of us probably have some form of mt heteroplasmy. It can obviously cause disease states in extreme forms, but saying it proves she ate this twin makes no sense. Did her conjoined twin somehow have a different mother, then? I guess she's given up claiming traditional chimerism, then?
This fixation is one of the most bizarre things I've seen in a munchie. People lose embryos constantly after fertilization, and even when they go far enough to be considered multiple pregnancies, they are far from stable. Even in normal circumstances, a little uterine competition is expected, and there is often a loser (parasitic twin) in the mix. Yes, hon, you are traumatized from losing something before you were even conscious, that's why people with terratomas are usually identified by psychiatrists.....right?

My thoughts exactly. I can only imagine she's referring to heteroplasmy, which 1) isn't particularly uncommon, 2) doesn't mean a symptomatic disease, and 3) definitely isn't caused by twin resorption.
The more I look into Victoria's twin claim, the more I think she's manipulative instead of just dumb. Her TikTok uses "parasitic twin", while she tags "vanishing twin" on her Instagram. So she recognizes there's a difference, and it seems to depend on the audience. Or maybe she's just really dumb, because whichever term she settles on, it still makes no sense.
Conjoined twins are two fully functional beings that didn't seperate fully in utero. Parasitic twins are similar to conjoined, except one twin stops developing into a functional being and its tissues and whatever organs leach off the healthy twin. Vanishing twin is a fetus that dies early in utero and it's cells get reabsorbed in the placenta or healthy fetus.
The closest think I came to in my quick search was fetus in fetu. However, fetus in fetu would still leave a tumor like clump of undeveloped fetus, not just a whole ass kidney and fused mito DNA.
Granted, having a third kidney is apparently quite rare, but it's mostly an incidental finding and causes little to no symptoms. Oh, and it occurs during embryonic development when one of the kidneys splits in two NOT because of twinsies.
I've heard that one reason doctors don't like to do unnecessary scans is because chances are, if youre not looking for something specific, then you'll find a hundred incidental things that a patient can freak out about. I don't know if that's actually true or just a humorous remark, but it brings me to Victoria and her thinking she ate her twin in utero after two unrelated findings when demanding a battery of tests. It also makes me think of anyone who lists DDD, kyphosis, or anemia on their munchie bingo card.

Funny that it's mostly an incidental finding and causes little to no complications besides UTIs and mayne stones.
