So the NYT could have kept their mouths shut and nothing would have happened. What changed that caused them to come out and say that the laptop was real? Did Joe piss in their cheerios with some new law?
If this starts ramping up with anti Biden stories, then I think the media got the signal its time to take Joey out back and manufacture public consent for it. Maybe the people controlling him feel he is too much of a liability to be a subservant puppet.

So guys your agriculture minister is saying let them eat cake no joke

Regardless, the world’s policymakers need to take a less casual approach to the well-being of the world’s population. That very much includes those in the Biden administration. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack’s response to concerns about fertilizer and food shortages: “Maybe sacrifices are necessary.” You can rest assured Vilsack won’t be the one making them.

Holy moly you really have children in charge

I watch a lot of reaction videos. From watching them, it's made me aware of the amount of people that are emotionally driven, and don't even get references or make logical links, is pretty damn high. I watched someone spend thirty seconds thinking about 3 colors and why they were related to each other.

Maybe the elites are right, a lot of people really do need to be told what to do. Either through Religion, Media, Corporations, or Government.
The problem is the elites aren't acting for a greater good or have noblesse oblige. People don't mind elites when they're philanthropists or creating industries that improve regular people's lives. What we're seeing with the American oligarchs is they're perfectly fine turning the West into Gay China.

I don't think anyone can survive being a benevolent oligarch, or career politician. If you go by some set of rigid morals, then someone will exploit that to stab you in the back. Which is why I think Russia and by proxy, China and other nations, making their move is good. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So you need a check against that.

It's starting to look like everyone who predicted that Covid restrictions were going to make a mysterious reappearance around the midterms will be collecting their winnings soon.
Nah, that they would try was inevitable after their election bill catered. No way it succeeds though as there simply isn't the capital to get the people they need on board.

Fauci doesn't set the policy or make it happen. He floats the idea and they gauge how virulent the reaction is. Think of him like a political minesweeper.

Yeah, that shit is why I don't buy all this talk about people not doing anything no matter what happens. The panem is running out and the circensi have been low quality for years. Predicting precisely when things get all fedposty is very tricky though, and I will make no attempts at that.

The Sri Lanka bit was actually the most interesting part of that article. I had long wondered why it stagnated for so long. Turns out they abandoned artificial fertilizer and tanked their entire agricultural sector.

Very based, Rockefellers. Continuing the proud tradition of keeping the brown man down.

Biggest puzzle if he's removed from office will still be was he "able" enough to seriously want a withdrawal from Afghanistan, or was it his handlers?

Either way, that move has created a domino effect that's fucking him over, thanks to the political elites and media slowly backing it.

I don't think I said rigid morals. I said philanthropy or some kind of industry that improves people's lives. That covers Henry Ford and Walt Disney. All effective businessmen, but they did improve American society in the process. Bill Gates used to qualify until recently when he went full Branch Covidian and bought up all the farmland. Hollywood and political oligarchs really wanted to become Chinese oligarchs and decided that if they couldn't join China's, they'd turn our society into China. The difference isn't in their character, but whether their actions happened to work with regular people's. Right now, a Western person's biggest threat isn't Russia, but the marriage of corporate and government interests creating a social credit system; one where finances are intertwines with social media posts. That's the opposite of Ford employing people to work in a factory or Disney building Disneylands.

I agree, and believe that if the western powers are focused on an enemy, they can devote fewer resources to subjugating their existing population. Sure it's stopgap, but I don't see anything better in a practical sense. I don't believe anything I say here will do anything. I'm just making observations based on my experience.

Another line of attack opening on Jackson:

What's interesting is that in attempting to gas up Derrick Bell in a speech, Ketanji lied about "growing up" with his book in her house. It wasn't even out at the time. Very Kamala of her.

The pedo apologia angle is the best, though. Even if they can talk it down to her just being a "restorative justice" advocate, that philosophy still has no business on the bench.

Or this is laying the groundwork for "It's time for Joe to go" and the ascension of Kamala just after the two-year mark.
Now is the perfect time to air dirty laundry while everyone is stressing about Ukraine. By the time the elections role around it'll be "old news" and Bernie will be saying nobody cares about that damn laptop.

It really does sound like they're prepping for making sure she won't even pass confirmation. Of all the candidates to pick, Sleepy Joe had to pick one with pedo baggage.

One thing I've noticed about the American "left" is that they're vindictive. When they get any level of power, they almost inevitably start using it to provoke and humiliate their opponents in various ways. Appointing someone who is both offensive to their opponents, but also soft on their own debauched ideology, would fit right into that pattern; it punishes the people who opposed their self-evident (to them) divine right to rule, but could also provoke outbursts that can be used to justify further humiliations and seizures of power.

DEBOOOOOOONKED. Except not really, because Judge Jackson herself still hasn't responded to any of Hawley's comments. I'm legit seeing red right now.

It's infuriating, but not surprising. I doubt she'll say anything and let the media run interference.
Nah, most Americans are submissive as hell and will happily eat shit as long as the government or le tv news man tells them to.
True, but I've been traveling all over the country lately and I'm seeing more and more people fed up and doing something about it, whether it's carrying their masks in the airport instead of wearing them, putting stickers on gas pumps, or joining their local political machine to purge the rot. They're small measures, but at least not everyone is mindless.
5 or 10 years from now, they'll be waxing nostalgic about Trump, just as they are with Dubya, McCain, and Romney today.
Nope. Those three are part of the uniparty and Trump isn't. He's not allowed a historical redemption arc.
How can you forget good old Rockefeller himself, the man started out with just wanting to sell cheap oil.
His main goal was to make money, and he didn't care who he screwed over to do it.

Money and power are such corruptive things it's almost impossible to ignore their influence even for the most altruistic among us.

If it weren't for her pedo baggage, I wouldn't give a shit. Just because she's a liberal black woman, in and of itself, isn't gonna change the balance of SCOTUS.

They wanted a liberal black woman? Find one that doesn't make excuses for chomos.
