I find it hard to root for Russia just because it is, after all, an invasion. Do we really want to live in a world where it's again accepted that a country may invade its neighbors? In this instance, it's on suspicions it will join a defensive alliance. I don't like the status quo but I don't know if this is the new status quo I want.
You don't have to root for anyone. It's a fucked up situation that is going to have far-reaching impacts in a lot of ways, probably many unforeseen. Lots of death and displacement happening directly and there's probably more to come indirectly.

It would be one of the more astonishing things if Putin retroceded Crimea, even on some nominal level of recognising some vague Ukrainian authority.

/k/ or someone else's VDV meme.

Brazil's SC blocked Telegram as is known, but Brazilians who try circumvent the ban are subject to a R$ 100 thousand fine ($20,000). They really are trying to outdo the COVID tyranny, and it's a sort of indirect seethe at Bolsonaro, who seemed to get on quite well with Putin. Anyhow.

America has been doing invasions for decades. It already is the norm, so long as you’re part of the “good guys.”
It's impossible to advocate for America, and few people at this point do. I'm certainly not one of them.

Yeah, that's true. The sheer number of refugees is burdening government systems already. We've not fully heard the complications it's causing for other European countries in regards to over-encumbering immigration authorities, and the sex/drug trafficking that is definitely happening as a result of porous borders.

if they hadn't crammed millions of subhumans into their countries in 2015 they'd now have a lot more capacity to take care of fellow europeans who are actually legitimate refugees (fleeing from a real serious war, not just thinly veiled economic migrants from shithole countries)

Oh you can bet your ass a couple hundred thousands of those poor people are already on delivery to their exploitation centers, Ukraine market is now being spread all trough Europe and Asia
The humanitarian crisis doesn't end at Ukraine borders

I love the US. You can love it and still believe it can use some improvement. Just because I don’t like how the government always does things doesn’t mean I hate the country itself. It’s more motivating than anything since you can help improve things in small ways.

Kinda. The T-64 was built at Kharkiv. That's why they kept them. They have all the tooling and equipment. They also have major refurbishment depots in Lviv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. The issue they are running into is that the old stored vehicles basically need to be gutted as all the lines and wiring and fittings and hinges and everything is rusted and rotten and leaky. They have a lot of old hulls to work with, more than they could ever use, but it is a lot of work putting them back into service.

Western tanks have active protection systems that work. T-14 is supposed to have one and the newest version of T-90 is supposed to have a system derived from Armata's as well. But alas.
It could be something for the future as a T64 developmental fork and update has the potential to be highly competitive with the many, many T-72 and T80 variants, which have flaws even when fully equipped (many are not whether anything from night vision to air con and good loading). Presently reusing Russian equipment would seem the only realistic way. I honestly wonder if there is some offsite (ie in Poland) workshops, but that would be too flagrant a provocation.

Someone's meme, sorry no sauce.

It’s possible but it’s just as likely it’s a finicky bitch they can’t get to properly work.

Machinery always needs maintenance.

There are a lot of cases of M1 Abrams that malfunctioned while in campaign.

It's just the nature of modern warfare.

If America decided to invade Russia then we would see an important number of machinery in need of repairs because they stopped working.

It's pretty amusing to read sperging about how Russian tanks are complete shite and that 10 million of them have already been destroyed for a variety of reasons.

For one, Russian tanks are not supposed to be the best of the best; it's a part of the entire Russian doctrine. They are attack tanks, fast, somewhat cheap, and average in combat.

The other thing is that the success of Ukrainian forces vs. Russian armor was because of a combination of equipment and tactics. The Ukrainians fight with ambushes and hit-and-run kind of combat and can't afford a full-blown battle. And while discussing the losses of Russian tanks, everybody seems to conveniently forget that the Ukrainians recently got a lot of anti-tank rockets, you know, things that are specifically designed to fight these vehicles.

Oh no, now i sperging how the Russian tanks are tots real and valid. Send chechens to denazify this post!

Well here is the latest propaganda from RT sponsored by Chad Monke Putler.

And of course, Glory to Reddit, may they survive downvotes from Putler.

This is hilarious but I think western sperging about how "Russia's military will stop working in a couple of minutes" or "Look, Russia is being steamrolled, we need to join the action (gets bombed shortly after and complains like a bitch that Russians are firing back and that it's unfair)" are a lot more funnier tbh.
