I'm guessing the reason why Nick is so hung up on Destiny is that Destiny is sort've a big name complete with his own audience, so 'owning' him live on Stream will make Nick look better. I started watching around groyper wars. At the time, there wasn't a show that could talk about issues like race realism or Jewish power in a way that wasn't off putting or crazy. It was nice to have someone reasonable talking about the issues from a different perspective than the usual conservative types. But as his audience has grown, he's gotten worse and worse.

Can't deny that Nick did at some point, at least initially, had a sort of appeal that a reasonable person could enjoy.

There's a whole reason why even gained this 'clout' to begin with people like Ralph, Jim, etc. It definitely wasn't pulled from thin air. I bet Nick content from a few years ago (around that time he was working with Allsup) was probably decent, but it seemed like it the Catboy Nick we all know and love (to dunk on) has always been there, just was a matter of time before the cracks really began to show his true colors.

He had his issues back then but i think a lot of it could be overshadowed by the fact he was "doing something." For what it's worth though the groyper wars are yet another incident of nick latching onto something and claiming it as his own, as most of the people actually doing the stuff were in Patrick Casey's thing (AIM, I think) and he just let Nick take credit for it. I think if Charlottesville happened today and had a different outcome Nick would absolutely, 1,000% try to take credit for it and make himself the public face/figurehead of it.

This stuff was absolutely always there. It's just a lot harder for him to deflect now, but if you understand how to read people you could always see these sort of tendencies emerging. Granted around the time of the whole "optics" debate he seemed much more sincere and i can only really comment on things retrospectively, but looking back on it I can pretty confidently say he was absolutely full of shit then too.

To be clear, I don't think Nick was always a grifter but he was always egotistical and that logically leads to grifting.
