They are links to the illustrators of the character, not the character themselves. Holostarstv is not following any of them if they do exist.

I'm not prepared to go that far with regards to EN, but this is certainly a blunder for JP.

Nope, and the announcement was so bad that they did not even linked their own twitter accounts but the twitter accounts of their illustrators in plan "ok there is nothing else we can do right now just throw them"

YAGOO and Holostars have a really weird relationship, I don't know why it is so ambivalent. I guess there will be a second part of the annoucement with the rest of infos (channel, debut date etc).
Stars even had a live (?) chatting stream with YAGOO which the girls never had before

No I'm American and to be honest the actual idol stuff still kinda weirds me out. You say that the concert goers aren't even allowed to speak at this thing? I was wondering why it was so quiet and thought that they just shut off the house mics for some reason. That blows my mind that fans would make themselves be muzzled, and I don't just mean the masks, to the point where they don't even sing along.

As an American I would recommend watching some highlights on how Japanese and Korean baseball audiences act vs. any games you've been to. Just focusing on the Idol aspect it's hard to wrap your mind around such orders of magnitude of cultural separation.

The announcement that was released only said that "Hololive" is accepting male auditions. This puts my rrat in a 50/50 state of being where they are either: 1. Using Hololive's brand recognition instead of Holostars or Cover in general, but they will still be a seperate branch, or 2. They are actually going to be members of the Hololive branch, and they just aren't going to bother with seperate branding for EN boys.

Either way, more Holostars is a big enough deal to gain traction on Twitter and Reddit even outside of the expo. They didn't need to rush it like this and put them in an unnecessary position. The boys struggle with momentum as it is. Give them a damn break.

It was about 4 days after the Noctyx debut, on the same day NijiEN announced new auditions.

My guess is that, because Cover also 'accepted male applicants' for what would go on to become Myth and Council, people probably felt it was just an anti-discriminatory formality and not an earnest attempt to scout for a StarsEN. Then, when Wave 6 auditions went up, they decided to mask a clarification as a new announcement to directly contend with them.

This time tomorrow we could have a full debut date of Gen 4 and this conversation will largely pivot, but right now it feels like they haven't put much consideration into this at all. Stars' first new faces in 2 whole years and they're buried under 3D debut hype and have no socials to even look at.

I would say it's 'unfortunate', but that would absolve the people in charge of handling these things of their responsibility. You have to hope there is more to it, but even that is only a partial excuse.

I don't think the new gen is ready for a debut at all. Like, they still need months for a debut kinda thing. We have no twitter, no channels, no voices, except for character design and introduction.
