A lot of people (moreso in the happenings thread) think I'm Pro-Russian or Pro-Putin and that's fair enough. I do want Russia to win just cause they will eventually win and I'd rather they do so swiftly so less people die. It's just the reality of the situation.
I was talking to a colleague from Ukraine, she still has family over there. Her elderly mother is stuck in Kiev, I can't imagine how stressful the past few weeks have been for her.

In the West, we get trapped into thinking in terms of black and white, but it's always more complicated than that. My colleague hates Putin and is a westernized neocon (as many immigrants from the soviet bloc tend to be). But her mother, who can hear the gunfire and bombs every day, is Pro-Russia. Idk if it's a generational thing where the older folks long for the days of the Soviet Union or what. But it flies in the face of the way it's been presented to us Westerners.

Anyway, I felt terrible for her and donated some bandages, advil and anti-bacterial wipes to the victims. So I must be a pretty bad Putin shill.

If only there was a Ukrainian Gandhi - that man singlehandedly prevented a war between the Hindus and Muslims in his day. If Pakistan could semi-peacefully separate from India, then the Russian separatists could do the same in eastern Ukraine. It could've been the perfect win-win solution - Russia gets their buffer state(s) and western Ukraine can join NATO.

Or better yet, they should've just let Russia join NATO, that certainly would've helped with de-escalation today.

I am unvaccinated, caught covid and it fucked me in the ass. Parents (who are old fuckers) were only penetrated a few inches and they were both vaccinated. So a simple deduction is the vaccines reduced the severity of their symptoms.

I'm unvaccinated, got the chinkflu, and it was nothing.
Some guys at work have been jabbed 3 times and they said they've never been so sick before.
So a simple deduction is the vaccines are a fraud.
