I'll be honest, I don't understand why do we have this question pop up every 200 pages: Bob is a simpleton and can be read like an open book at all time.

Since Bob is too old to have grown up during the boom of social media (hell, he was out of school before even Friendster launched), there's really not much of an archive of his pre-Moviebob days, so we have very little info to go on with regards to what he was like as a kid. A firsthand account would answer a lot of questions. The only real problem is that, if Bob back then was anything like he is now, I think most of his peers preferred to avoid him altogether, and I doubt many are actively looking him up to see what he's doing these days to then stumble upon this thread and share their experience.

Or it's just training for emotional responses. Cognitive dissonance is easy to explain if you assume people don't bother to engage in any self-reflection. "However I feel at this moment is right and true" and there's no need to worry about consistency because I'll feel differently tomorrow.

I dunno I still haven't seen Turning Red and I can't imagine I ever will unless I have a daughter in the future. It's not a big deal to me that Pixar made a movie about the experience of growing up from a female perspective. But I don't think it deserves praise for breaking some new ground because well really I was a kid who watched King of the Hill nearly daily growing up.

So I'm gonna talk about this for a quick minute. And really its funny how relevant it is to Bob. Because it involves Judy Blume.

Saying it broke new ground is a bit dumb. But, acting like King of the Hill is analogous is also a bit dumb. King of the Hill is a show about a middle aged man trying to come to terms with a rapidly changing world from what he grew up in and set his values in. Written by a man, who's probably pretty similar. I wouldn't say Mike Judge is a conservative man. But, he clearly has a lot of love for Hank Hill, in that instead of punishing him for his world views, he allows him to recalibrate them. Which, is a fair shy more than Bob and his ilk would allow. Which is also a bit disgusting. Because they always act like he's one of the good ones. And it shows a lot of maturity on Judge's behalf that he can wrestle with personal philosophies the way he does.

The important thing, however is that it is a joke in how a middle aged man has to deal with a girl getting her first period. Not only that, but it's not even his kid. It's the fucking neighbor girl. And while some girls in this day and age can relate to that. I am certainly of the mind that you probably should have a woman telling a story about a girl doing that. And it probably should be mainstream.

Not just for the girls in the audience to feel included. Because frankly, that's fucking stupid. That's not what art is. Art is to show other people another way of looking at things. And unless if you're a redditor you've probably met and talked to a woman. And probably interact with them all the time. (Unless if you're also a woman, then take this is as more I'm talking to everyone.)

Like one of my favorite books I've ever read is Are You There God, It's Me Margaret. Not because it's a great piece of literature. But because it let 13 year old me, realize that 13 year old girls, or whatever fucking age, are pretty much the fucking same. And that's all there is to it. What I think Bob and the twitter brigade has completely lost sight of. And hell what I think some of us have lost. And only because the creators have lost sight of it as well. As representation isn't to be the one on the stage. To be in the limelight. To be the hero of the story. Its to tell your story. Going to a story that features *you* as the main character is asinine and is what has caused the decline of western society. Because you know your story. But I read things like Are You There God... so I can learn a little about how the other half lives. Or The Watsons go to Birmingham. Actually, it's why I study history.

TL;DR: We need to stop getting upset about movies made by people for people. But call out shit heads talking about representation. Because those people are why we get mad.

The pair on the left is Pete Buttigieg, the openly gay democratic presidential runner who is now Biden's Transportation Secretary, and his husband. They bought a kid and Pete took, this is not a joke, 2 months of maternity leave last year after they adopted their kid. This was back in the fall when there were still ongoing supply chain issues.

The pair on the right is Dave Rubin and his husband. They bought a set of their own kids. You may notice that there's dates as if they're expecting which is weird because they're both gay men. That is because they both paid two women to be artificially inseminated with their individual semen with someone else's egg, carry their respective children to term, birth them, and then hand those children that have no genetic relation to the birthers (because they're not the mothers) who just squeezed them out over to these proud gay parents.

Both of these sets of men used their wealth and power to buy children so they can be a pretend family. As prices for everything goes up and our taxes go out of control to pay for pointless spending and shitty services that are an actual determent to society, people who have an actual chance to have a real family, so not Bob and his troon followers, will find that exceedingly difficult to provide for that family. Meanwhile all these elite pieces of shit can simply purchase a human

(yes I'm being extremely broad with that statement and I do know the adoption can be and mostly is a far better choice than leaving a child to their doomed fate of being a ward of the state but this particular situation makes fucking furious)

to complete their family set or as in Rubin's case go full fucking dystopian and pay some woman to carry someone else's child because he is gay and will not father his own child. In both of these situations it's not a matter of there's some infertile issue or the woman's body just can't bring their child to term. They will not make their own child and will buy someone else's or have theirs engineered due to convenience.

Bob's opinion on the matter is less than meaningless. The way things are going for him now, he will never hold his own baby. Despite coming from a stable family he seems to have no idea what one looks like.
