Just want to promote one of the vsingers I follow who is returning from a month's hiatus, MaiR (previously Hoshino Mea). Returning karaoke stream in around five minutes or so.

She has some originals and has covered 170+ songs. This is the original song I recommend.

I am a bit biased towards her since she actually wrote a thank you note with the album and merchandise I bought last year but have a listen and follow if you like her.

Glasses are really versatile. That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Luna to try some on or Marine to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need glasses to become a thing in hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. For those interested in the Apex tourney Suisei's talking stream had her side of the story:

• Suisei corroborated that Aqua was the one that asked her to join. Suisei wanted to say no because she is super busy from February to April but accepted because Aqua was willing to push past her social anxiety and play in her (first and last) tournament.
• After asking Suisei what her rank was (Gold 4), Aqua followed it up by telling Suisei she had good game sense and if she worked hard she could get good at Apex...
• The team has been practising since it was formed in February (duh).
• Suisei has reached Plat 3 on an alt account.

Not translated:

• She wants to hit Diamond solo but isn't sure if she can get there within a month.
• Suisei hired a personal coach because she's bad at Apex but they won't have a team coach. (A no brainer since she doesn't have as much time to grind.)

Also, I have to say rewatching both concerts back to back today was even better than watching them the first time.

some things I noticed so far watching it half-asleep:
- azki in the opening lineup, a manly tear was shed.
- kanata in 3d just hits different, something about her body language makes genki 3d tenshi 10/10 for me, dunno why. also has the same "flat face" issue calli has, which was already a thing during her last 3d. now I need to get an appointment for a diabetes check...
- holy fuck matsuri is smol, to the point it looks like someone messed with her scaling, but then the duck didn't look much bigger. nene with her floating hair looks like a primaris next to a mark VI (and not just because of her nenechis). also noticed the same during the opening where sora looked somehow bigger. no idea if it's on purpose, they scaled it more to the roommates or it's just a visual side effect and only noticeable on stream.
- korone still mogs everyone, even nenergy and haachama's mania can't compete. doggo makes it looks easy. also dat entry.
- speaking of nene, our wife got robbed! she deserved to have a mosh pit for her song.
- haachama imo should've used red heart. infinity is great but doesn't really fit a big concert, she's not really a singer and there's isn't much room to inject her craziness into the performance which usually makes up more than enough for other aspects.
- moona bringing the 'tude, I can already see the JP bros going all in on "step on me mommy"
- my oshi finally got recognition, but I'm kinda sad lot of people didn't get the full risu experience. alice&u is impressive and certainly made heads turn, but feels like they skipped right to the end. it's completely different when you come for the shitposting squirrel and stay after getting your mind blown by ayunda-nee. also curious how her numbers will change now, her design and look makes her very accessible (like korone) and I don't think there is anyone on the same gremlin level on the jp side either (without going full blown war criminal etc). add her voice range and the effect of her live performance and things could get interesting.
- none of you niggas mentioned shrine maiden hips, a shame on all of you!

also since kiara's clipping was mentioned, remember the choreography was done a while ago, and most likely not with her 3d model in mind. don't know if it's even possible to account for that without seeing it live in the studio at the same time, let alone when she never used it. I assume they either rolled with it because there was no time, she didn't wanna change it, it wasn't that big a deal in their eyes or most likely a combination of all 3. EDIT: also tracking and fidelity made up for it more than enough, plus the whole stage show. no pyrotechnics besides 2d (as a honorary german they could've gone full rammstein) - but at least they blew smoke (dunno how many missed that).

Do keep in mind that mental health is basically a taboo in nipland and they don't really treat it most of the time and just tell people to "get through it". I do agree most of these girls could use an evaluation and someone to talk to.

This might be a thing where EN comes to the rescue again. I know JP took notice of the amount of breaks EN took, Kiara especially. Subaru was very vocal about it, not in a negative way, and mentioned how Kiara told her that it's normal to take regular breaks if you have the possibility to. And Subaru has taken a few mental breaks since that conversation. I'm fairly sure Kiara talks about seeing a therapist at times too, so I'm sure that might trickle over eventually.

For some reason I feel like her tail is smaller than in her Live2D. But I agree animation was excellent. I like her live performance of her original a lot more than the studio version.

It's kinda funny how Ame is the only one in all of HoloEN with a 'normal' western name. Iris is a fairly popular girls' name, but obviously not spelled like hers is.

Just a japanese thing i suppose where most names have to have some (more or less) convoluted way of describing what the character is about while still being fairly easy to understand with moderate knowledge of the language.
It works tho, i think i'd cringe more if all of them had normal / real names instead of how it is now.

That's one of a handful of reasons I tend to use Sakamata's surname.

I love MaiR. I discovered her via Azki's 72 hour streams. She actually did a full concert with Azki and it is awesome, like all of Azki's shows.

The burner account tweet you posted here at the time pointed to the fact that she wasn't allowed to speak at the meeting where she was terminated. It's more likely this is an attack on Mafumafu than an attack on Kson.
