Russia is a resource extraction economy that also happens to produce a lot of basic foodstuffs. Lots of countries would benefit from increased trade with Russia. If the ruble weakens it means Russia can trade more favourably with them anyway.

It’s not about aid, it’s about willingness to deepen economic relations long term. China in particular is resource hungry and would love for Russia’s economy to be open to more Chinese FDI and development schemes. Russia isn’t North Korea, it’s sitting on the largest pile of natural resources on earth and Europe is going to take a deep long term economic blow while Asia receives a massive boon. Chinese support has made Iran a sanction-resilient economy with strong future prospects, Russia will be the same.
...and they somehow couldn't do any of this before?

This all seems like sour grapes to me.

Wars of aggression, IE any invasion of foreign territory, are unpopular for this very reason.

Why is someone in your family going off to die in the middle of fucking nowhere? Explain that to the common folk.
Ok.. but what if in Russia this isn't seen as a war of aggression? Yes the West has labeled it that but the West has ignored the Donbaus regions, which consider themselves Russian, declared independence in 2014, Ukraine signed the Minsk agreement, and then continue to shell them for the last 8 years. There are Russians who legitimately see this as defensive in nature and that's not including the NATO element. There are Russians who believe this should have been done in 2014 when they took Chrimea.

Idk how Russians feel about this. I've seen Russian people, even Ukranian born Russians come out and support Russia and Putin for what he's doing saying it's necessary. I'm sure there are Russians who don't like this, but the certainty people have that Russians hate this are going to revolt agaisnt Putin without taking any of the history leading up to this is uhmazing. Wasn't ready for it.

The Ukrainian head of the medical service says that the order has been given to castrate Russian POWs
Because they are cockroaches, not people.
He said this on a youtube livestream and minutes later the stream went offline. Someone was able to capture it

Edit - the stream is now private:

Edit 2 - with subtitles: (it would be nice if someone could confirm that he really said this)

This is literally insanity.

I can confirm that he said it all word for word.

What the fuck?

That ball cutting doctor backtracked.
“We weren’t planning on castrating anyone. Those were emotions. I’m very sorry. We are saving lives. Full stop.”

Welcome to war, children!
Not sure if this counts as news, but Russia is counter-sanctioning Japan. The autistic slapfight over the kawaii Kuril islands is about to become even more retarded, desu.

Let’s go back to the 1900s if we’re going into a time warp, why not?

they prefered to sell to europe because euros pay more, also europe is closer to the parts of russia that matter than most of asia, and europe is where all the rich russians want to have their holiday mansions.

russia pivoting from europe to asia will be a loss for both europe and russia, and a gain for china.

Right. And unless Russia is planning on trading opium to china there is no historical precedent of anyone getting rich by doing so. That's why I called the "we don't need europe, we have BRICS!" talk sour grapes.

And nothing of value was lost. RIP Vatnik news. Your #1 source of delusional pro-russia "news" and manufactured talking points.

Tbh, I'm kinda sad. It was fun watching their mental gymnastics and schitzo takes. Now they are free. Like an infected migratory bird from a DoD-sponsored Ukrainian bio-weapons-lab. *sad sarah mclachlan music plays*
