This is what gets me. Gender is supposed to be a social construct according to them, right? So why compete against cisgender people? Let them compete fairly amongst themselves and make room for the intersex or nonbinary troons, too. Easy solution and extra woke points for more inclusivity, but they also don't want segregation. But you can't have both when you're talking about the extremely binary advantages that come with sexual biology in a sport that is already segregated due to those advantages.

Any surgeon who will operate on you when you're wearing nail polish of any kind is a fucking hack.
Seriously, if a surgeon doesn't demand you remove that shit pre-op, find another surgeon. condition of nail beds is a real useful diagnostic tell for O2 Sats and ODPs rely on being able to see them.

FWIW, I'm a former, non-practising Podiatrist. Losing a toe, any toe will always have some impact on how you walk, from lesser (minor wobblyness at first) to greater (effectively learning to walk again).
However everything about shortening the feet so troons can pop on high heels and go "dress go spinnyy, girl clitty get stiffy!!" is a terrible, terrible idea. It'll fuck with gait, balance, foot strength and the ligaments which provide structural support (so basically, the "ropes" which hold your arches up).
The spastic that got this done, in a few years, will probably be flat footed. I hope their euphoria extends to orthopedic footwear, because that's where he's headed.
