One of the heroic Snake Island soldiers has filed a trademark for "RUSSIAN WARSHIP, GO F**K YOURSELF".

EDIT: According to World Trademark Review.

In other war merch news someone is giving a a new twist to an old slogan (and in Collegiate font for some reason)

What are the odds a Ukrainian soldier would file a trademark on that in both English and French? I want to say its just some random person looking to make money but what do I know.

Been posted before but I got to point out that this clip has some serious "We're entirely surrounded. Those poor bastards. They've got us right where we want 'em. We can shoot in every direction now.” vibes
Imagine finding yourself fighting a losing battle in a coastal holdout and having to fire at enemy forces coming from every direction

Azov are preening douchewhistles doing only a fraction of the work in the defense of Mariupol but I'll be damned if giving them that BTR-4 to play with wasn't a brilliant idea. This was the second time we have seen that thing completely blunt a Russian assault.

Enlighten me, on which part of those pictures does it show that one of those soldier did it? Because I'm not seeing one outside the "Individual", but that also mean everyone and anyone can did it

According to World Trademark Review (whoever they are) it was one of the soldiers but just a likely some rando want to make a buck.
Can we start laying bets on when the ADF declares Z a symbol of hate? When will we start spelling Zelenskyy as Xelenskyy to stop our eyes from seeing The New Swastika and erase this letter from the English alphabet in solidarity with Ukraine?
Henceforth Pizza shall be known as "Piyya" or alternatively, Freedom Bread.

The best part about the armox is we were stacking so much on our trucks, it was blowing through suspension, steering, & brakes at probably 3-4x the normal wear rates; even with RFI "upgrade" kits, and even with KBR around to handle scheduled servicing.

Even better was *none* of our trucks had been uparmored before going downrange, and we started Mad Max'ing our shit only *after* doing our own version of a thunder run through Baghdad and Balad.

Romeo 9 was one of mine; observe the armox water-bottle holder, and not visible is the dispenser/magazine for my D-cell batteries. This image was taken fully six months into a 15 month deployment, and we *still* didn't have everything uparmored yet.

The sheer state of Russian PMCS has kicked my PTSD into gear harder than anything else, and they still rolled into Ukraine with newer/better shit than we had.

In Vietnam, the VC attacked supply convoys frequently. The original plan was for the military police manning checkpoints along the roads to immediately go on search and destroy missions. This was a retarded idea for many reasons. So the US logistics soldiers started mounting APC hulls on top of truck beds. Then they put .50s in the APC hulls. Shit was so heavy that the engines and frames were stressed. But the first time they were deployed, they raced over to where Charlie made contact and lit up the trees with suppressing fire. Many dead gooks were found.

The military promptly forgot about this. When supply convoys were again targeted in Afghanistan and Iraq they said lol put sandbags in a deuce and a half. It wasn't until the military industrial complex figured they could milk contracts for the MRAP that something was done about it, and well, MRAPs have their own problems to say the least.

That being said, after Vietnam, the military went back to preparing for WW3 in Europe, which was going to involve vast armies fielding equipment that wasn't much better than what the Soviets had, probably with nuclear and chemical attacks by both sides. Guerilla attacks were an afterthought.

See what I'm doing is taking a few seconds of my valuable time to explain to you how every single military organization on the planet Earth (yes even in black Africa) plan out a campaign. Construct decision trees and algos in painstaking detail with every single scenario gamed and planned for. Your opinion (retarded thought bubble) is that the Russians somehow decided to skip this stage and went straight to 'lets drive across the border and hope they surrender'. You have formed this opinion by spending time on Reddit. You are a dummy.
Hahaha. I've never claimed they didn't plan it. I'm saying they planned it poorly, and that they underestimated Zelenskyy, who they thought would crumble, causing Ukraine to crumble.

Keep making stuff up so you can be angry though bud 👍

The military never forgot about gun trucks and recon by fire. It's just that the logistics people after the war always pretended that it is not a part of the job. A CCKW with a 50 mounted above the cab lighting up everything would not have been out of place on the Red Ball Express. They built some with machine gun rings from the factory, dontchaknow.

Yeah, they sprayed flu water on a bunch of shit in the grocery stores in order to make non-supporters too sick to go out and vote. Man, imagine doing that sort of thing. Surely no one would use a pandemic to manipulate an election lol.
That was the woman that was by his side, I don't think that Osho actually gave her the order to do that. It goes against his entire persona. In fact its the worst thing he could do in that situation.

How come it looks like there's a bunch of static tanks and APCs just standing there taking fire, at extremely close range, doing absolutely nothing?
What caused that before the clip started?

Thats hilarious that you think a guy who has never been in the military, or intelligence, is the one in charge.
Clearly you don't even know who is in charge here. It's not the Ukranians, and if it is, it's a General and the military commanders that surround him.
Jon Stewart, President-Comedian of USA has decided to send MANPADs to Ukraine.

I dunno. Maybe Azov was winning a street battle with their BTR-4? A fight that they have won before.

No no. It was magic fairies that turned T-64s into T-72s so they could blow them up in some showpiece propaganda thingy. That's it.

What other option are you looking for here? What seed of doubt are you trying to plant?

Despite who may 'really be in charge' (and I agree with you here), it doesn't matter. He's the figurehead. If he went into hiding in the early days and wasn't as outspoken and defiant as he was at the beginning of this war Ukraine would now be a Russian state.

Yes, I think it will probably happen anyway for great parts (if not all) of Ukraine, but the longer it goes the more Russia will hurt.

Russian "liberators" demilitarized valuables, including carpets from Ukrainian apartments in the Gostomel region. They steal.

Can't really see exactly what's happening, but it's a nice drone shot

It seems they photoshopped this pic.
Not sure what is going on. You can see a head and then they wanted to hide the body?

I found another shopped one.
No person has a cartoon head. Clearly fake.

Now I'm being pedantic as it's relevant.

I'll just take your word for this part but these articles don't back that up.

Neither article says this, but sticking with the realcleardefense article, it says the pilots wanted the radios for voice comms and then mentions it can also do encryption and cites a Russian article. The relevant part of the russian article is
Article quoteYandex Translation
Отметим, что ранее В частности, летчиков не устраивала работа аварийной радиостанции Р-855, которой не хватает мощности для голосовой связи. Они просили заменить ее на Р187 П "Азарт", которая обладает способностью зашифровывать переговоры.It should be noted that earlier, In particular, the pilots were not satisfied with the work of the R-855 emergency radio station, which does not have enough power for voice communication. They asked to replace it with P187 P "Azart", which has the ability to encrypt negotiations.

So now what's being said is Russia is using a radio, the R-187-P (US Army training material on it), which is a radio that relies on 3G/4G for encryption and the pilots of Su-24s and Su-25s want it for that encryption. 3G/4G don't work very well in the sky and probably not at supersonic speeds. The Army training info just says it's encrypted as well, no requirements listed.

So either this is not the radio involved with the system that doesn't work or it is but it's the single most retarded military radio ever made, relying on mobile frequencies to encrypt comms used by other bands.

----------
Personally I think there's been a lot of false info out there, intentional and unintentional, and this is lumped in with that. I think the language barrier and eagerness to laugh at Russians, as they're hilariously hypersensitive about this stuff, has led to people being quick to believe hilarious foibles without any desire to verify it because verification requires translations and context which aren't readily available.
I think that radio can broadcast and receive 3G and 4G bands and possibly make calls, but relying on cellular communication for encryption makes no sense.

I found a brochure that seems to back up this theory by googling the Russian name of the radio you mentioned (Азарт® П-187-ПЭ), which appears to be the one that they are using (saw several articles from both pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian sources claiming the radio is in use by Russian forces).
The radio station is capable of providing cryptographic protection of voice and other information in all operating frequency ranges. This radio station with programmable radio standards that support existing and future standards, as well as changing radio protocols, work with the latter is carried out in real time. The radio station R-187P1 "Azart" operates in a wide range of bands and is capable of providing communication between all existing types of telecommunication technologies - satellite, cellular communications, the Internet, FM radio or digital TV, etc.
It mentions it supports voice communication over TETRA and PRCH (Packet-switched Radio CHannel). GSM (aka cell phones) is packet switched.
voice transmission both in analog form (FM) and in digital form (TETRA, PRCH) in the simplex negotiation mode; – voice transmission in duplex negotiation mode (if TETRA infrastructure is available)
I suspect this radio can act as a cell phone, which is not the same thing as being dependent on cell networks for encryption.
The brochure also brags about the radio’s mesh networking capabilities, and if you have that, you definitely would not be reliant on cell towers for encryption.

The point of the original comment still stands as the Bellingcat journalist mentioned absolutely none of this and got the name of the radio (not cell phone) completely wrong.
