Bob thinks that Republicans and Democrats are an eternal concept that everybody around the world will completely understand, with Republicans being eternally right wing and Democrats being eternally left wing. One is Believers ™️ , the other is Thinkers ™️ and this all is an incredibly US-centric concept because it's US-specific and no other country uses these designations in the same way the US does. It would be like calling every far left wing-nut party around the world "NDP" (which I sometimes do as a joke but holy shit). Never mind the fact that the "Progressives" of Yesteryear were also in fact Believers ™️ (Tommy Douglas, NDP Leader and grandpa to actor Kiefer Sutherland because his kid Shirley married Donald Sutherland, was a Baptist minister, but also believed in eugenics, although reportedly he changed his mind about eugenics later in life). But then of course, Bob thinks the right wing and the Believer ™️ class is made up entirely and exclusively of those bad guys that lost WW II.

Yeah, that's pretty much the case. They at least acknowledged Christianity and in TOS for the most part they didn't really attack it. I think Uhura was also supposed to be actually Christian, or at least heavily implied to be, in Bread and Circuses, when she clued in they weren't worshiping the sun, but the Son of God. I guess nobody on the Enterprise expected Christianity to have an exact parallel on another planet.
"In the grim darkness of the superior future, there are only THINKERS and BELIEVERS."

Blobhammer 40K (the 40K being how many McNuggies the Bob Emperor consumes daily)

BTW I am currently re-watching Bread and Circuses. There is a point where the Enterprise away team encounters the planet's version of Christians - part of the slave rebellion - and ask Kirk and the others questions. At one point McCoy says, "If you're talking about worship of sorts, we represent all sorts of beliefs" and the twitchy ex-slave Flavius Maximus says, "There is only one [God]."

So, at least we know, in TOS at least, BELIEF ™️ is still widely accepted in the Soopeeryah Fyootchah, much to Bob's chagrin.

To be fair, TOS being God-friendly may have had a lot to do with standards and practices at the time. Being openly anti-religious probably wasn't allowed. TOS was considered extremely daring for having an interracial kiss, after all.

Nu-Trek is virulently anti-religion because it's being run by fedora-tippers who ignore the fact that religions will always exist because humans have a strong need to set metaphysical boundaries for their ethics. Even if those religions don't call themselves religions or worship an all powerful God. It's far more likely a religion of the future might institute a non-denominational form of Deism like the Church of the Supreme Being or a form of Religious Humanism , where people go to Church and do church-y things, believing in a transcendant set of ethics, but don't believe in a God. It's also possible that people will join cults that worship the State or a dictator. Governments of the future may even impose religion upon their subjects, since a lack of religion is linked to declining birth rates over time...

Bobby seems to think that the endgame is China buying up the burning, radioactive husk of Russia for scraps, and then America will somehow kumbaya with China.

What in the hell is this? You guys keep saying he drunk tweets, but some of these are starting to look more like stroke tweets.

This is so far from making sense that I have to assume Bob saw Todd McFarlane and needed to connect it to his old video but yet again had another stroke and forgot to make any attempt to connect the two topics together and gave up rather than try again.

Like I'm not joking about this stroke thing (I am), Bob's an awful writer who has been getting worse for some time but you could usually tease out his stupid point, some of these recently though...

Especially on things like Ukraine, instead of just shitting himself publicly, Bob needs to consider his Rome 2.0 obsession and read him some Marcus Aurelius:

Bob seeing any non-MCU male that isn't a half-ogre like himself: "Is this one of my alleged High School bullies?"

Well diabetes can affect the brain, plus we know his sleep schedule has been shit for years. And the terrible diet of MCU/Disney movies with no real attempts at exercising his brain cannot be helpful. Plus his lack of social interactions, even before Covid.

Thinking of how far he's fallen in the last ten years, imagine how insane he'll sound when he's 50... assuming he lives that long.

Is there a term I'm not aware of where someone's not too stupid to get the point, but is deliberately missing the point? Is there bonus value when said moron is deliberately missing the point to plug his misinformed, meaningless "content?"

So here's what matters. Todd McFarlane has been selling toys for around 30 years. He's got a net worth around 300 million dollars. You don't get to that point by guessing trends - he's got a ream of paper with sales figures by region, time, gender, and every other meaningful metric you can think of.

The man's saying that too many female figures in a male demographic line don't sell. He has the data to support it, I promise. And he made a joke to solidify his point.

Amazing, isn't it? The person Bob's criticizing is well on his way to being worth a billion dollars. Bob lives on Patreon welfare checks on the first and 15th of the month. We've seen Bob's Twitter brigade and thusly know the manner of clinically retarded riff-raff barely keeping his lifeboat afloat in the moat of his mother's suburbian crack den.

Ignoring Bob's characterization of his opponents - Are they really opponents if they don't know or care who you are? - "Some people don't like Doctor Who for the same reason they don't like Marvel movies." fails as a jab at Doctor Who (ex-)fans unless you believe the Marvel movies are absolutely above criticism.

Yes, I know that's what he actually thinks. It's just interesting to see it being brought up in a comment about Hugh Grant and Russell T. Davies just because someone dared use the Holy Name of Marvel as a third-hand reference. (What does it even mean in this case? CGI fights? Skybeams? A multiverse? Well, that last one's nothing new - look at the nuclear snarl of the McGann continuity.)

Not sure. Usually just done by affixing an adverb stressing intent to one of the many words calling someone an idiot. Intentionally obtuse. Deliberately stupid. Perhaps something involving profanity, as insults like "dumbfuck" and "fuckup" carry a similar implication that the target should know better or is otherwise not wholly innocent.

Bob might be alluding to the complaints about Doctor Who going woke during Jodie Whittaker’s run, which has also been said about Phase 4 of the MCU.

Having read a LOT, and I mean A LOT, of books regarding how Communism functions in practice, it unfailingly follows the pattern of bait-and-switch when it's getting instituted. Stalin isn't the only case of the Communists relaxing moral strictures, only to tighten them up again. Basically, commies promise/give more "freedoms" but then suddenly take them ALL away (and not just the looser laws on sexual things, we're talking everything, from voting to deciding where you're going live and to work). Communist (in practice) societies cannot tolerate divergence or chaos. Everything must be tightly controlled, and you can't really pin this all on remnant Believer ™️ elements. Visitors to Castro's Cuba are amazed at how "safe" the streets are (unless you're a political dissident, lol) - there's "no crime". Well no duh, it's a POLICE STATE, BLM will never gain inroads there, and nobody will ever do anything about police brutality.

Some books I've read on the subject have made the case that this pattern is inevitable due to the Evil source of all (atheistic) Communism. Like, the Devil will promise you shit, but won't deliver (or will deliver to some degree but then reneg) while he's dragging you down with him. And quite frankly, this makes sense.

I will guarantee you Bob has never read any of the relevant material.
I suppose it's just more evidence that in practice, atheism is impossible. That's not an argument for any particular faith or evidence that any tradition's God exists, it's an observation of human psychology. The intelligent part of the human brain is piloting a "gibes me dat right now" monkey brain that's a billion years older and had seniority in impulsive decision-making, and holding it in check requires an immaterial ethos. God, strangers, and the future self are equally fake to the monkey brain, you have to impose a code of ethics that you adhere to whether or not you ascribe it to a God in order to function as a human being instead of a human animal.
Socially speaking, you have to have wide-spread buy-in on roughly the same such ideology to have a society or else you're going to have wars of religion every couple of years. America was multi-cultural and multi-ethnic before the 1950's and while things weren't perfect, the fact that all races and cultures were patriotic and typically some kind of Christian meant that it mostly functioned. Atheism used to exist in that Christian mix as tragic figures, people who had come to the logical conclusion that they didn't believe in God, but respected the ethos that the faith had built. When Christianity began to be displaced by atheism as the main religious affiliation in the US, what happened? Take away that religious unity and now you don't share much with your neighbor do you? We coasted on patriotism for a few decades after I guess the 1980's or so, then 9/11 seemed to be the last gasp of that.
Now we have dozens of fractious micro-nations split along lines of religious, ethnic, cultural, and national-identity all sharing one federal government that's spent the better part of a century becoming more imperial and nepotistic. Of course conflict is going to happen when you don't consider your neighbors to be your countrymen, your representatives to represent you, your national culture to be your culture, your civic faith to be yours. In search of order, structure and a transcendent ethos, some Americans made a pseudo-religious order out of a civic ideology, the Superior Future utopian leftism Bob worships. You can laugh at their hypocrisy and Bob's idiotic takes all you want, but the fact remains that there's a man in a dress considered an Admiral in the most powerful military on earth right now. A pseudo-religion displaced a lack of faith pretty thoroughly.
