Mate you don't have to look far and wide online to find videos of Russians abusing X minority online (before the Peace Operations).

Doesn't mean I'm gonna just paint them all with the one brush.

Plus, in some areas there were enclaves of people with German ancestry (more or less remote, but they considered themselves more germanic than slavs, which the Nazis used in their favour).
It was (still is tbh) a complex situation where different issues intertwined inextricably.

Few years/decades (depending on country) of the Soviet regime generated more hate towards Russians than centuries of tsarist rule.

So, I assume that Zelinsky will be thinking about this advice and guidance from Washington about how much bigger this war is than his little country when he's speaking to the Russians. I'm sure it would be considered a very bad thing if he was making decisions just on what is best for Ukraine, without considering what's best for the Biden administra international principles. After the war (assuming the war isn't going to last the next 50 years which is probably optimistic), Ukraine should continue to be Schrodinger's NATO member is what I basically get out of this convoluted diplomat speech.

Reddit posters are military experts who had the entire Russian campaign totally on lock before they stepped on the plane. Putin had bitten off more than he could chew. The Russians are on the run or bogged down. They're running out of ammo using 300 year equipment. I swear they expected to rock up and face an enemy firing arrows or some shit while they took out dozens with the totally can't miss hi-tec gear Joe Biden was personally going to gift them. The fact they all got merced because they couldn't stop themselves posting for upvotes is genuinely wonderful. Whatever other great things Putin does I will forever be grateful for this.
