In Canada unless you are actively in the process of dying you're not getting in faster. The joy of 'free healthcare' is that the people who're in worse shape will be placed before you and/or push your further down the list unless you've got something that 100% requires expedited care. Unless he goes septic he'll have to wait the full time which gives it plenty of time to get worse.

If he's passing gas through it there's bound to be some leakage if he knows it or not and fecal bacteria can certainly make it's way through. Not to mention one wrong move with a dilator and he's gonna find out what a real bad time is.

He was already in the hospital. He chose to leave. His boyfriend can just fly him to some other country if he wants it done faster.
