Edit: Yeah I couldn't trace that Russian MoD claim. Seems dubious.
But still...
The Russian MoD claim likely traces back to the Komsomolskaya Pravda article that was mentioned. There are two issues with believing it. One, Komsomolskaya Pravda's not exactly the most reputable news source in general. Two, they immediately removed the numbers and claimed they'd been hacked, which isn't exactly implausible.

On the other hand, there are some things that make it plausible that the original article was true. For starters, the article remains up, just updated to say something that machine translates as:
Report from the editorial board of KP.RU

On March 21, Komsomolskaya Pravda's website was hacked into the admin interface and a fake insertion was made in this publication about the situation surrounding the special operation in Ukraine.

The inaccurate information was immediately removed.
So the question must be asked, if hackers can gain that much access that they can add text to an article, why didn't they do more? Why not alter every article or the main page headlines to say more? Then there's a matter of what the "hacked" text actually said. The existing article ends with:
According to the Defense Ministry spokesman, 89 Ukrainian military facilities, including command posts, multiple rocket launchers, artillery weapons, weapons and ammunition depots and places of ammunition accumulation were hit on Sunday, March 20, and seven Ukrainian drones were shot down in the air.

While the "hacked" article went:
According to the Defense Ministry spokesman, 89 Ukrainian military facilities, including command posts, multiple rocket launchers, artillery weapons, weapons and ammunition depots and places of ammunition accumulation were hit on Sunday March 20, and seven Ukrainian drones were shot down in the air.

According to preliminary calculations of the AFU General Staff, from the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine until March 20, the Russian Armed Forces lost 96 aircraft, 118 helicopters and 14.7 thousand military personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry denies the information of the Ukrainian General Staff about the alleged large-scale losses of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian Armed Forces lost 9861 people killed and 16153 wounded during the special operation in Ukraine.

Earlier, it was reported that Captain of the First Rank, Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet Andrei Paliy, was killed during the special operation in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday, March 20, that a training center for foreign mercenaries was destroyed in the Zhytomyr region.

The website kp.ru online collects the latest news about Russian military special operations in Ukraine on March 20, 2022. Follow the events with us.

In other words, the "hacked" numbers attributed to the Russian Defense Ministry are apparently phrased as a denial of Ukraine's claims about Russian losses. Which is odd. You'd think if it was hacked by Ukraine or someone friendly to them, they'd simply state Ukraine's numbers as true. Rather than claim Ukraine's numbers are false and give lower numbers as the true ones. Nor would such hackers go on to include what amounts to boasting about bombing the foreign legion that was undergoing training.

All in all the "hacked" article looks suspiciously like they either got some real numbers and published them to refute Ukraine's numbers before realizing that the real numbers weren't approved for publication; or they didn't think Ukraine's numbers were true and made up numbers that were more reasonable based on what they'd heard before realizing that Russia's recent law about 'false information' would apply and put them at risk of serious trouble. In either event they quickly fixed their mistake and covered their asses by blaming hackers.

So the numbers may or may not be true, but the claim that it was hackers is pretty suspect.

I hate to sound like a psychologist, because those people on average are insufferable fags, but I'm coming to the grim realization that a disturbingly high amount of people, more than even I believed were out there, are legit unable to think for themselves, and become terrified if they don't keep in lockstep with the rest of the herd.
They have no morals, no true beliefs they want to stand for, they only want to be in total agreement with everyone around them, because being seen as someone with a differing opinion is tantamount to being kicked off the boat on a desert island. At least this time the flags aren't as pretentious and literally gay...
Never not irellevant

Will Putin be tempted to nuke Brussels to shut down NATO and US command and control and force some sort of agreement, or is he just simply not that crazy?
The western world can rest easy knowing "curly little leg hair" Pedojoe has got their backs... for a few more months til his death and a new puppet learns to sing the song.

There is the question of how certain this is, and I no longer have fecesbook so I cannot see the source, but a few mention similar. Was it c. 12k troops? Maybe. Still it does suggest, even with exaggeration that the northern theatre has been poor enough for Russia. Perhaps the TB-2 drones, which unlike the old Soviet systems used in the Donbass in 2013 cannot be jammed, MANPADs are giving them the Ukrainians, if not always the edge, but the ability to slow and push the Russians at some points.

One detail to note with this region is that if it lasts to summer, troops could be enduring some luridly high summer temperatures.

I don't think most of the ministers have made too many appearances. The Russian FM looking visibly nervous (hands shaking) was perhaps the bad look which inspired Putin to keep his trembling, stuttering idiots away from the cameras.

/pol/ is staring to get confused on which side they should back in this.
Honestly, What’s the difference at this point?
The Shah loved kikes, Recognized Isn'treal and if Khomeni had not seized power from the Jew Lover then Iran today would be run by LGBTIAIDS people demanding that everyone suck their girldicks like America is today. And it was not the Ayatollahs, It was Western Sanctions that harmed Iran, The West could drop the sanctions at any time but since the US of AIDS is the eternal enemy of all morality they will not allow that to happen.

But no I guess not allowing women to run around barely clothed and not letting children troon out is the greater evil than keeping millions in poverty that can be easily ended with the stroke of a pen.
Did /pol/ hours start early today? Oh yeah, some government person died.

(Sorry for the multiple posts but my browser is acting fucky and for some reason "insert quotes" is disappearing from my replies so I'm having trouble making multiple quotes in a single post)

My father did the full Korean war. He was a paratrooper who was part of the initial landing in Incheon, fought through the war including Chosin, and fought until they were pulled out. He was permanently disfigured with his frostbite but never reported it. When I asked him why he told me, "Everyone around me at Chosin was either dead or dying. You think they wanna hear me bellyache about frostbite? Who gives a shit?"

So yes, Ukraine saying that some inclement weather at night is the ruination of the Russian army, disfiguring them with frostbite and destroying their ability to fight seems highly unlikely. And morale has nothing to do with it - my father didn't want to be in Korea any more than Russians wanna be in Ukraine. It really seems like Ukraine is aiming their propaganda towards the reddit crowd because at this point that's the only people who can fall for it.
My dad told me was getting seen for his knee issues and struck up a convo with an older gent in the waiting room and asked him if he too also knee issues. He replied no, he was a double amputee below the knee as a result of Chosin. He had gotten his lower legs shot up but it was so cold blood froze and prevented him from bleeding out, which saved his life. They became best friends. I started reading up on it and it was appalling. But not once did I hear his friend bring it up. Not once.

A Korean War vet was really impressed when I brought up the retreat from the Yalu in a pub. Seems like its a forgotten war.

Men were different, hell, people were different. They didn't go around expecting asspats for surviving and persevering.

My theory is that he's fled the country and they're desperate to deny it.
Doubtful. Not enough reason to flee yet. Plus if he'd "fled" it'd be difficult for him to keep doing his job without people catching wind of it.

Most likely they just don't want to admit he's hiding in a bunker just like they accused Putin of doing. That it'd be reasonable for him and the government to be staying in a bunker and running things from there doesn't matter. All that matters is that they want to hold their leadership up as brave, while calling Russia's leadership cowards.

Though it'll be funny if on one of these videos at some point he just walks across the square and back to prove there isn't a green screen behind him.

Better a western vassal than some KGB proxy closet faggot lol

Don't know where you see any western vassals in Iran. Iraq would have started its own war if the US hadn't stepped on their toes sooner, from what I hear they're not that unhappy with Saddam being gone either. Libya just poves that you shouldn't give money to a shady Frenchman, especially when you're out to take out the petro$.
That my biased reductionist take lol

Why don't you stop thinking about me masturbating and think about those who are literally being murdered right now because someone else wanted to masturbate over some scary western influence.
I think, with Iran, it’s the fact that the US helped toppled the Shah and wound up with the Ayatollahs.

It is quite relevant.

As far as I recall there aren't any Mexicans in Star Trek. You're thinking of Babylon 5.
Ensign Sonya Gomez on a couple of TNG episodes. Plus I'm pretty sure Kirk banged a Mexican chick somewhere along the way. Heck he even got around to banging a Philippino on screen. And Archer's main booty call bitch was Captain Erika Hernandez of the NX-02 Columbia.

So Star Trek had Mexican's... so long as they were bangable.

My father who was a Korean War vet and a veteran of the Chosin Reservoir Campaign had frostbite in both feet and one hand as a result. All three looked horrible his entire life with permanent damage. Because of that, that's kind of my bar for frostbite. I haven't seen one photo of Ukraine that looks anything like the weather conditions for the Chosin Reservoir battle. I have to give the Ukraine a thumbs down on their propaganda. Yet again.
Frozen Chosin :semperfidelis:

I swear the Korean War and its vets barely exist to most, thanks for sharing.

I think that's because they experienced the shit firsthand, and just wanted to put it behind them.

My grandpa earned a Purple Heart in Korea, and he NEVER wanted to talk about it.

The same was true with Jessica Lynch. She even spoke up about how all the "Girl Rambo" stories about her were bullshit, and that she just wanted to go on with her life.

And they may be. What is their suicide rate?
Good question. I suspect the regime penalizes the families of people who dare to "check out early", and probably lies about the numbers - to the extent they know.
