I'm now curious as to what the intake/consultation process is for SRS these days. Surely at some point the surgeon would have gone over some sort of plan? e.g "we're going to form a labia here using this ballskin, have an opening here, and have the pisshole be there..."

It really looks like no planning went into that did the surgeon just say "okay we'll carve a hole here"? Did the surgeon wing it? Did the surgeon fuck up halfway through and tried their best to save it?

It's common in the transgender community for people to push the idea that every aspect of medical transition is 100% perfect and that nobody has regrets or complications. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to find input on potential complications or regret odds only to be told "nobody ever has issues or regrets with their SRS! all of our pussies are ~perfect~!"

Yes, you would typically have standard procedures for something as drastic and irreversible as a sex-change OP. Psychiatric consulting, proper explanation of risks and making the patient understand what this really entails and any surgeon valuing his reputation would refuse to go forward without any of these prerequisites.

But this is America. Where you can forego visiting a psychiatrist that has a - often almost guaranteed - chance to reject you and simply find yourself a plastic surgeon on Twitter that'll go for it. Which is what Fanny here did, if I remember correctly. These surgeons make money by taking on the work actual credible professionals would never touch with a 10-foot pole. They do a job that is just borderline over what could be considered criminal negligence and then keep telling the patient to "just keep dilating, it'll be fine!" or ghost them entirely, we seen it before in many other threads.
