I'm of mixed thoughts on the principle here. Take it away from pedos and consider in a different context.

Would you say that a 20 year sentence for shoplifting would be appropriate? I think most people would say no.

Part of the role of a judge is to weigh what sentence matches the crime and, in an ideal world, be a barrier between overzealous lawmaking and the people.

So, on principle, what she is saying matches the purpose of a judge.




My mixed thoughts come in on that it seems she -only- did this for pedos. That's.... sketchy as shit. He had a rock solid reputation as the 'liberal dream judge' who always stuck by principles and was a very compassionate and soft handed judge. Then he had the misfortune of drawing the Brock Turner case and followed the law, sentencing guidelines, and State probationary report recommendations for the verdict. Afterwards, the screaming feminists raised millions of dollars to smear him in a fierce PR campaign as a rapist and misogynist, complete with an astroturfed recall campaign that tore him from the bench and ruined his life.
