it could be the dense part of Subaru to announce it but either way, now knowing her roomate, she can have backup plan like matsuri, kson, or notrushia if she decided to be a streamer again.

That Hololive members aren't allowed to be membered to each other has been known for awhile. I think Ame really early on, I'm talking when they got their monetization and their first member streams were happening, mentioned using an alt account to member to Gura. But I'm sure no one went through the trouble of arduously checking every single new member, plus everyone already knew who she was so wasn't much sense in it. And I think the reasoning is fairly simple, to dissuade favoritism. If a Hololive Member is membered to one channel and not the other, imagine the rrats. And it'd also be fairly visible if they ever spoke in chat. That being said, I'm sure Ame and Subaru aren't the only people who use alts.

What does support your rrat is why literally not use a throwaway account? I'm not putting her on the same pedestal as Ame when it comes to knowing how the internet works, but even someone remotely tech-savvy would be smart enough just to use a burner account that isn't connected to anything.

Lol, HoloID's issue has never been that there haven't been enough eyes on them, or that their talents are underappreciated. Their lowest-subbed member has over half a million subs and two of them are at 1m for crying out loud.

Most of ID1's post-boom viewers were people who wanted English-speaking Hololive members. ID2 rode the wave of HoloMyth all the way up until IRyS and Council took the attention away. The overwhelming Western fanbase makes it so that they get a huge initial boost and then completely flatline as their job as a stopgap between EN generations is fulfilled.

Not to say there's any problem with their growth so far or anything like that, but there's no reason to pretend that HoloID have been some untouched gem no one was aware of until HoloFes. They're all massive industry names regardless of what branch they're affiliated with. Their issue is who their audience really is and who they're competing against and that won't change unless the Indonesian government mandates their people have a quota of weekly ID streams to meet.

- Before I watched the video, just from looking at the pics here and seeing people go "secret agent, blacksmith, rain shaman" I figured out which was which. Very different from what I thought about Noctyx and Uproar's designs.
- After the kobokan thing I'll find it very difficult to say rain shaman's name properly. Kobokan is too fun to say.
- When Council and HoloX were announced I remember thinking that Hololive already had a cosy dynamic and I wasn't sure I wanted change. (My opinion changed; see my title lol). This time I want to see what they've got.




Is Kaela going to be a penguin in lore? On one hand Reine was hoping for a fellow HoloID bird. On the other hand Kiara will have to call yet another Holotori meeting lol.
