I don't think it's just cope. Russia dived in denying Ukraine's right to exist. Now she's getting bogged down, alienated and humiliated. So much so that Ukraine is refusing to pull out on amicable terms. Might as well knock the giantess up with humility while at it.

You don't need to be invaded to be defeated. Russia has failed most of its initial objectives, is facing an unprecedented economic haemorrhage, and has lost its global standing for an entire generation. Even when Putin attains his victory it will be a Pyrrhic one.

There was only one problem though.
The Russian alphabet doesn't have i, only и, but Ukrainian does. These are dead Ukrainians but they pass them as off Russian soldiers.
It is one thing to blame every atrocity on the battlefield on the Russians but you have to admit that they are desperate if the Ukrainians passed off *their dead* as Russians!
Yeah but the blown out armor is Russian, I mean I don't think they need to lie about dead Russians its not like they are hard to come by same with Ukrainians. In short it would be easier to just film a dead Russian then set up an elaborate scene with actors.
