Just adding my two cents about the n-word controversy since I haven't yet. It's really a non-issue. Dillin ought to know that the only reason it's so talked about now is because he first tried to cover it up, then damage control the situation. It is 100% the Streisand effect, like his Grindr account. If he just came out and said "lmao, fuck you, I have a Grindr and said the n-word before, so what? I don't care" then it would at least give the impression he isn't bothered by it, especially if he then went on to ignore it later. His excuse of "I was hanging out with bad people" must be referring to JessePajamas and True again as they (but mostly True who is black himself) has excessively said the n-word on stream for shock value. It never fails to amuse me how Jesse is made the scapegoat for all controversies. First he's the transphobe via MugiMikey who was the real reason Mikey was so transphobic and made transphobic jokes in his videos. Now, Jesse is a racist and is the reason why Dillin said the n-word. What do Mikey and Dillin have in common that leads them down the same path of edgy content, using Jesse as the scapegoat, and turning a new leaf? If this is a certain brand of lolcow I'd love to know the title of it.

Yeah no one on YouTube (besides Ethan) tried to excuse their actions.
Idubbz changed his content to more documentary style stuff.
Filthy Frank made a book finishing up his legacy and than made music.
Maxmoefoe just stopped uploading and makes cameos in other videos now

Rusty Cage just makes a comic book series, merch, and albums to make his living.
Leafy just never and won't care as he is making millions without YouTube. It's nothing but fun for him.
Now Ethan Klein has apologized, but he's so big and uploads so frequently no one really cares. Besides people just watch his podcasts now it's not like he makes actual videos anymore.

With that being said I can't think of anymore edgy YouTubers who would film themselves and say edgy crap, but I can assure you they all said the 'Gamer' Word and worse and are living their lives sound.

This just proves the point even more that to keep respect and an audience just gradually change your content don't say you're changing it 50000 times.

Let's be honest, we've brought up good points and advice, but what makes a cow a cow in the first place is the inability to change and better themselves. I'm curious if we're going to get a drought if Dillin's limiting his opinions and interactions. If Dillin did so for his mental health and learn to withhold his actions to get a better understanding. That'd be a good thing. Except he's doing it to avoid having to face criticism and mockery by hiding in a hugbox. We'll see how long it'll last. I give him 2 weeks.

I also think, no matter what, most people do think that the context matters with the n word. Idubbs always had history saying "its just a word", and the worst thing he did was the "say nigger" thing. Its very clear what kind of person he is, so the people who think Idubbs shouldn't have said it don't think he's some crazy evil racist that's just walking down the street rambling about niggers. Dillin could have had that, to be honest he didn't have strike a channel to hide this, but as usual all of his problems are the results of his actions..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he is earning ad revenue from YouTube (more than $600 in a year), he should be recieving a form 1099 from YouTube. 1099 Independent Contractors have to pay their own taxes (it doesn't automatically get withheld). That means he should owe money to the IRS (unless his business expenses or milage costs (no car lol) outweigh his income). Is Dillin really dumb enough to fuck with the IRS? Was he smart enough to set aside part of his income for taxes? I kind of doubt it.

I await the Audit Saga.
