General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

As others said, I kind of got Fauna-vibes from Vestia's voice initially, but that faded as she talked more so it might just have been her initially talking a bit softer until she got comfortable. Still very cute though and I'm a sucker for cute voices afterall (Gura, Fauna, Mumei, Chloe...), so I'll subscribe to see how she progresses. I don't mind apex either, so I won't get filtered by that.

I had to leave a little before half-way through for a meeting, so I'll have to rewatch and see what I missed. I didn't quite catch all of it, but when she was talking about her favorite senpais they were all JP, and she also brought up some stuff about EN like Calli's music, Ina drawing, and Mumei, but I didn't hear her talk much about her ID senpais which I thought was interesting. You'd think she'd focus more on them, being part of that branch. (Unless I missed something or she talked more later.)

Wonder if any of them get to suffer the horror that is the original Gura rigger.
to make some predictions based off the shorts they posted on twitter.

Blacksmith is Keffy, Shaman is Jujube
Not that unheard of for anyone with code-switching, example: Pikamee
Yeah I've known some bilingual people that feel that they even have different personalities to an extent in different languages, feeling like they are more polite and soft spoken in one but more crass and abrasive in another. The ways your brain compartmentalizes language are weird.

So she was a vampire vtuber in the past. Her Twitter is protected but there are some archives left. Seems she rebranded her persona and was more cutesy, egg-themed before.

Edit: Oh there are some archives of her youtube channel on web.archive.org with some of her videos (yes APEX). This one is from December 2021:

That explains why she faintly rang a bell. I watched a couple of her streams when she was an Egg.

Was randomly recommended a bilingual Spanish/English vtuber who teaches lessons in Python programming in between streams.

EDIT: Just realized this is probably because I watch a lot of ironmouse clips and Python tutorials. What can I say? Sometimes the algorithm works.

People already found out who Zeta used to be. Her Twitter is protected too.

Pretty sure Gura had some janky rigging by the same rigger too. Thankfully I don't think he's touched another since Anya's.

Went to her channel and this is the only video left :story:

Yes, this is the girl that I want to talk about. This is some of information that I gather myself. Thanks for everyone that posting more info here, and don't forget to archive or saved it yourself.

Her name was Shirai Vai formerly known as Mago Hiyoko. She draw & design her vtuber herself. She also open vtuber and art commission too, but the link is dead now. I once subscribed to Shirai Vai Twitch ch because someone gifted to me. She enjoyed playing apex and other fps game, other than that she mostly doing art stream (I'm still trying to find her art or drawing for proof).

Mago Hiyoko was her first persona, she also advertise herself on Reddit.

She then re-debut herself as Shirai Vai around mid-end of 2021.
She ended her vtuber activity on 26th December 2021.

From the language that she used, we can match this info from Mago Hiyoko wiki info.

Before she graduate, she also help Mysta with his stream alerts for debut.

Hope this can help, I might add/edit/ or post more info if I find one.

just look at anya and botan raft collab by accident, i actually not expecting much since they both talk in Japanese. but actually found it comfy since the chat not going ape shit and the consistency of live translation help you if you want to know what they talk about. and i think for this kind of stuff i prefer that way than wait clipper just clipping some yabe/lewd all those click-baiting stuff.

The one APEX clip of her that I could find had her not know that you can change direction on a zipline.

Unless she's drastically improved her game sense since then — which is very possible — she's probably going to be very similar to Ollie (APEX autist that isn't exactly amazing).

If she's good I'll give her a watch, though. I'm an APEXfag so more good V-Tubers are always welcome.

As I have said, today is a national day in Greece so I decided to look up some terms on Google Trends for Greece. Pics in the spoilers.

Kizuna AI brings up a "no data available".

It's not much, but it pretty much confirms what I already know that vtubers in Greece is a niche of a niche. Anime and manga are already pretty niche here (there are only two shops which sell related merch here and both of them are in Thessaloniki, not Athens the capital) so vtubers are an even bigger niche. Compared to Poland, which was mentioned here before, where the charts reach the ground less times, and the US, where the charts never reach 0, Greece seems not unfazed, but rather untouched by vtubers. If a shark girl from Atlantis that spoke some butchered greek in her song won't do it, no outsider will. Greece is pretty much an echo chamber, so unless there is a Greek vtuber in Hololive or Nijisanji, I doubt there will ever be any big interest on the subject by the local weebs or any sort of media mainstream or not. (Personally speaking, I am not interested for anyone from the Balkans making it in the big two, but whatever.) So, I can rest easy that I can enjoy my hobby at peace where I am.

Also, I tried other vtubers except Gura, but it brought up the "no data available". I tried, but after a while I got tired of putting names in the void. I tried Nijisanji as well, but "no data available".

Big thanks to Minyak Sayur, he's one hell of translator. Back then there's a group of translator for HoloID girls named Halo bapak ID, I think he's the only on left from that group. Because some of them busy in real life they disbanded.
