Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

Does it count if an item wasn't autistic when you bought it, but something about it revealed your autism, like how those plaque-disclosing tablets show tartar buildup?

Replaced my toaster oven. The audio alarm for preheat done/cooking done sounds like this (cued 2:25):

Now imagine you took the beginning riff from the solo in "Beautiful World" by Devo, and MIDI'd it for a tinny 1990s cell phone. This is admittedly a giant stretch, but I cannot get it out of my mind whenever my toaster oven does its little beep (cued 2:07).

It's a pretty good toaster oven and New Traditionalists was a great album, so this isn't really a problem.

I swear that in person, in my kitchen, the toaster beep sounds a little deeper and slower, but in summary: didn't realize how much I was like this. And fully realize I cannot say anything about this to an IRL human.

"So, you know Devo, right? I have to ask you that first before tell you about my new toaster oven. Yeah, it air fries, but that's not the interesting part."

Azumanga Daioh omnibus. Pleasant read, as good as the anime. Great distraction from all that shit that's been going on in my life and the world in general.

I finally bought a proper shower caddy or what you call it. I had the baskets in white before this. Anyway, it was love at first sight. My shower is finally not messy anymore.

Don't know what I expected, it smell like slightly sweet plant. Which sweet pea is, but it reminds of a cheap toilet deodoriser. I use it as a hand and foot lotion.

It smells more of pineapple, but it is still really good.
Get/make some S-hooks to hang off the bottom of your caddie. It's good to help loofahs/rags dry faster, keeps razors sharp/new longer since they dry faster, and can frankly make most caddies hold a lot more than you'd expect. My most recent purchase was an oversized 20" magic arm and some clamps.

Noga makes the best in terms of holding precision instruments like my dial indicators for metal working. But these are super handy in plenty of non-precision applications. I use it to hold lights, cameras, mics, coolant jets, or really whatever I want. If I can't directly thread it on, I can probably clamp it, and failing that it's made with common cold-shoe adapters an threads I have taps/dies/quick-change gears for cutting if all else fails. My one complaint about this particular one is that the knob is plastic (though well-made plastic). It wasn't worth twice the price when I can order an aluminum knob for like $3-5 on McMasterCarr.

Majority of caddies are with hooks, so I did look specifically for one without. I don't use any loofahs and I don't keep my razor in the shower and it doesn't have a hole in the handle anyway. My shower is small as fuck, so I suspect that any hooks are going to scratch me up while doing anything else than standing still.

You have to actually throw loofahs and that stuff in the washing machine once in a while, less of a bother without them.

10-4, just something that had helped me out before. It's definitely important to launder those things but keeping them as dry as possible between use keeps it even cleaner.

I bought flowers from trader joes.

I love my Grandma and brought her some from TJs and she told me they are still looking pretty good and sent me a pic and told me how she cared for em 2 weeks later, for cut flowers!

So for 4 bucks I got some just to spruce the house up as my trees/plants are just waking up and I wanted something alive.

This plush based off of an animator's OC.
Looks like Marcelline.
A bunch of Hunter S. Thompson books/memoirs that date from the 50’s-80’s.

It’s because I selfishly can not bear to read or archive articles from current day journalists anymore.
His letters are interesting, especially when he's talking about other things he was currently writing, like F&L. I think his deepest, darkest secret is he actually put meticulous care into his writing.
