Well, you know if the campaign doesn't go quite as expected that doesn't mean Putin has to accept failure. He can just lie about it...

>w-w-we never wanted Kiev anyway
>we always p-p-planned to just take the border areas

Putinbros, how can I get a job posting Russian propaganda on the Internet for 30 kopecks an hour?
You're right, which is why he specifically spoke about 'denazifying ukraine' aka setting up a government more in step with Russian interests.

If you don't know how to sus out the implications in vagaries that politicians are fond of speaking in then I don't know what to tell you, bub. You just sound like a useful idiot to me.
The absolute state of Vatniks and Putinbros
In the mean time Yemeni armed forces stepped up their game against Saudi Arabia.
Yahi Sari, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces: We targeted the Aramco oil refinery in Jeddah and other critical targets in Riyadh with cruise missiles.

Probably unrelated so why am I even posting this here...

No, this is related. Remember when KSA and UAE is trying to play fire with the US by saying they're considering accepting Yuan for payment? This is a warning from Washington by allowing it to happen. Saudi's Intelligence is shit, they've been relying on US for security
LONDON, March 25 (Reuters) - In a scaled-back formulation of its war goals, Russia said on Friday that the first phase of its military operation was mostly complete and it would focus on completely "liberating" Ukraine's breakaway eastern Donbass region.

And what exactly were the goals of the first phase? What military objectives and targets mattered in Western Ukraine for their long term plan? Just fucking shit up? Seems like some big time coping from Russia and they are pivoting.
They're definitely shifting the wargoals. Their initial goal was the complete and quick takeover of Ukraine. Anything else is just COPE CAGE by Putinbros since now they can't deny that Russian Military is not just stalled, but are being pushed back by Ukraine
And now I know you're a disingenuous little faggot and not just a smugposter, because none of these predictions have been "Russia runs out of everything, army collapses, war's over". The first two were were for the point where Russia stretches itself to the point where it cannot maintain an effective offensive without an extended period of stopping to unfuck the rear. The third was when Russia will no longer be able to advance at all without Putin going full Second Great Patriotic War and hoping the people follow him, and the fourth is when Russia starts obviously and undeniably losing, again unless Putin goes balls to the wall and gambles his regime on it.

No, really, how fucking hard is it to wrap your head around the idea of "Russia did not bring enough warm bodies to this fight, and it is going to cost them the war"?
You're talking to someone wgo shifted the goalpost too much he's now plaging a different sports. It's no use man, it's no use...

>What if one day you wake up and find out that Google is not working
It's not working because of you, fucking streetshitters.

They say time is the ultimate healer. Sort of the "The Gulf of Tonkin" incident.

But we are right today and that's what counts! :-/

No, it's actually someone who is currently in that college, with a rather cushy internship. It leads to even cushier jobs in a career in politics or PR. Working directly for POTUS is a big deal. They probably still have to work at Starbuck's or drive for Uber if they're not a trustafarian, but they're doing well. It's not like working for a campaign in a district where the other party is guaranteed to win. If I know Joe, he's probably smelling that girl's hair tho.
I don't disagree, but this level of humiliation feels like it's a donor's kid who they don't like. Or maybe a furry/troon. After all, Dem. batty mon seems pretty fluent in UWU speak.

Us Russians are in for some interesting times if the Ukraine actually manages to successfully repel the invasion. I have no doubt the sanctions are there to stay, so watching Putin gamble away tens of thousands of lives and decades of progress only to be humiliated would be an unprecedented loss in recorded history. Russo-Japanese war comes to mind, but Japan was barely a country back then and the Russian loss, though humiliating and contributing to the revolution later, was nowhere near as devastating in terms of economic damage.

What do you mean "Let's say"? It's called UnionPay and Russians will be forced to get it once their current Visas and Masercards expire. The new cards actually double as Mir AND UnionPay.

Let's say the Chinese open up a counterpart to Mastercard and Visa.
Ya UnionPay is the biggest card network in the world now.
Their cards will work in most USA ATM's and any payment terminal that is on the NYCE network. I am seeing the unionpay logo at random places like gas pumps now that I am looking for it. They are working with cross accepting them with the Indian RuPay network currently.

Unionpay claims " acceptance in 180 countries and regions with issuance in more than 70 countries and regions."

It would be even worse than a humiliating loss, it would mean Russia no longer has the capability of using military force to enforce its will upon its neighbors. How is Russia supposed to be competing with NATO if it can't even defeat one of its non NATO neighbors? It would either mean the Russians would have to capitulate all ambitions of Russia being a power player in the region, or a complete change in strategy. And we all know the Russians would rather choose the latter over the former.
One possibility is Russia changing towards clandestine methods where overt force has failed. Another possibility is a shift in focus away from eastern europe and towards central and east asia.

It would be hilarious nonetheless, it would finally to a nail in the coffin to Russia still claiming it's a superpower (no having a boat load of nukes doesn't make a nation a superpower, nobody dares use nukes, so they're only useful as a deterrent to prevent nations using military action against them, nukes can't be used to spread your nations interests to the other side of the globe like a massive navy and airforce can, and are worth jackshit in terms of making a nation an economic superpower, in fact they're expensive as fuck to maintain.)

Putin isn't gonna withdraw from Ukraine. He's likely going to hold the southern half of Ukraine due to its pro-Russian sympathies. More importantly, he cannot afford to just withdraw to Donbas, he needs to at least gain something from this. Putin will likely withdraw forces from the north and focus on the south (as he has now said), Which is what he probably should have done in the first place. Russia has enough to manage and supply a frontline from the south. The Ukrainians wouldn't advance onto Russian territory due to the resulting full-scale Russian mobilization, Ukraine is also trying to appeal to the Russian masses, and invading Russian territory would likely make this considerably harder.

Link (in Russian)
On this week's episode of I Wish a Nigga Would, Moscow politician and member of the Communist party is advocating for the invasion of a further 6 nations as part of the Special Military Operation™.
Savostyanov's proposal is real. But, he's not even a member of the Russian Federal Parliament, but just a member of the Moscow City Council. He also belongs to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (lmao) which is part of the opposition and is therefore even farther from those currently in power, besides we all know that the reason russia even dared to pull this off was because ukraine wasn't in NATO, no way they pull this shit in NATO territory.

How is Russia supposed to be competing with NATO
This entire shitshow unfolded because of Russia's inability to compete with NATO.
One possibility is Russia changing towards clandestine methods where overt force has failed.
More clandestine than poisoning people and other retarded shit Russia was allegedly doing? I am only saying allegedly because all poisoning victims survived and the poisoners were comically inept at their job.

Already happened.

Russia has not been able to spread its interests to the other side of the globe since the fall of the USSR.
