Tbh, he wasn't exactly a musical genius or anything, but he had decent stage presence and charisma, and a decent enough singing voice. I think his problem now is that drugs and mental illness have fried his brain and robbed him of the critical thinking and insight needed to produce good music.

His mother was a crazy stage mom and when her oldest son no longer let her run his career and her daughter's addiction made dreamworks refuse to work with her (Leslie's only single was on the Shrek soundtrack but she was apparently already on drugs and was toi much of a risk. Aaron layer claimed that she raped him as a kid furing the time all studios basically blacklisted her) she pimped Aaron out to be the money maker. He wasn't talented but he was charismatic, had a good stage presence, and he hit big with the teeneybopper audience.

But Aaron is a train wreck and basically got himself run from the industry and doesn't have people that have actual talent to write his songs, produce his videos, or represent him. He's a druggie tard that reproduced with a druggie instathot.

Waiting until they start trying to pimp out Prince to the industry to be their little money maker like his mother did with him.

The whole Carter family is fucked and the only successful one, Nick, won't deal with their bs.

Edit: the corny blue butterfly to cover up Melanie's name, "Freedom" on his hairline, "Prince" under his eye for the son he doesn't seem all that interested in, and "Karma" in blue ink, for some reason that made little sense.
