I don't know what the going consensus is regarding a food crises, but the United States is a place that burns excess crops to keep prices at a fixed value. its also very wrong, the EU has a shortage on sunflower and rape oil from the ukraine war, that sucks but its not a bug issue. the main regions who grow our food have a huge surplus of organic fertilizer and alot of land that isnt used for incentive reasons.

The Us is hit way worse from this because your government is fucked in the head.

Its already worse than 2008. The difference between 08 and now is that in 08 the near-depression was the result of the upper echelon being lazy and causing the housing bubble to collapse. Now the people in charge are intentionally trying (and succeeding) to murder the economy outright.
Every action has been done to collapse the Petrodollar and thus cause runaway inflation, which will lead to the dollar being killed for good.

Given most of Europe’s handling of their energy demand, I really can’t count on them to figure out their populace needs food, not empty promises. The US is a food exporter even with our malicious leadership.
