Can someone please explain to a retard such as I why the Russians would even want the city of Kevin in terms of owning it? Is it just the ole' retarded Russian chip on the shoulder and Putin is sperging out at the idea that the namesake of their origin is owned by another "country" in a similar way the chinks sperg at Taiwan? Is it the autistic Russian obsession with ports despite having a shit navy?

Last I checked Russia was borderline Asian in terms of it's demographics being utterly fucked. Is Putin gambling on killing off some portions of the male population so the chink incels can come in and somehow make them not viewed as mongoid rape babies and instead consensual mongoloids?
this is a really retarded comparison, but imagine that tomorrow the USA fell apart a bit, ceded some of its territories and rebranded itself, while a new nation of 'Wakanda' formed itself and took Boston or any of the iconic original 13 colonies from this newly rebranded USA, where open (mostly peaceful, but always degrading) persecution of wypipo would be permitted by law or wholesale corruption. do you think whoever was the POTUS equivalent of that 'fallen apart USA' could just let that shit go and not avert his country falling into deeper and deeper irrelevancy, or would them retaking those lands not help get some of that national pride going once again?

it's kinda the same with Kyiv/Kiev. Putin could claim some kind of bogus cultural revitalization of Russian culture at home at least, if he managed to get back one of the most ancient cities connected to that culture away from Ukranian hohols. I seriously doubt it would be in any way worth it, since it will be defended tooth and nail and short of a tactical nuclear strike (which would be insane), I don't see it falling to the Russians...but there it is.

I don't think they want to take Kiev. It's tying up a big chunk of the Ukrainian armed forces , while they complete the takeover of the eastern territory.
At the end of the fighting they want to be so close to breathe on the capital, on multiple fronts (something like Berlin during the cold war)

Why they want the coastal areas is to have consecutive land buffer from Crimea right through all of the Russian border.

Ukraines done quiet well on the defensive but I dont imagine any offensive actions they launch are going to be as effective on entrenched russian positions

But it depends on how incompetent ivan feels like being I suppose

Heard rumor that Serbia might pull this shit again. No sources beside few videos about Serbia sending convoys to the border officially as an "excersise".

Edit tried to save it as a thumbnail but i think im too retarded to make it work.

Not related directly to the war, but to the energy crisis it caused.

It is impossible to replace Russian gas in Europe — the head of the Ministry of Energy of Qatar

"To say that it is now possible to do without Russia, and to think that Qatar or others can replace it, is simply ridiculous. This is nonsense," Qatar's energy minister said about the situation with Russian gas in Europe.

Al-Kaabi denied rumors that Qatar and Germany have agreed on long-term gas supplies. Qatar Energy will be able to supply significant volumes to the European market no earlier than 2025.

It should be noted that Qatar takes a neutral position on the situation in Ukraine. The Middle Eastern state is the second in the world after the Russian Federation in terms of gas production.

Saudi Arabia has announced a military operation in Yemen to protect its oil facilities from the Houthis.

The Saudi-led coalition has launched strikes on the Yemeni cities of Sanaa and Hodeidah.

On Friday, Yemeni Houthi rebels launched a missile attack on Saudi Arabia's energy facilities. The distribution station of the Aramco oil giant in Jeddah was damaged, which led to a fire in its storage tanks.

The energy crisis?

China becoming a super power?

Canada is left unarmed and can be easily annexed?

We really do live in a fallout universe.

Even Western 'experts' agree it 'could' get harder for the Ukrainian army.
Imo it will be a wonder if the Ukrainian army even manages to retreat to the 2nd line of defenses. Time will tell.
I'm happy Russia advanced to world war 1 trench warfare. Just throw more bodies at the defences and they will break.

Video of a Russian tugboat firing off a round of Kalibr missiles. I hope one of the casualties of this strike was that Ukrainian piece of garbage who called a dead Russian soldier's girlfriend to taunt her.
