Because Alice seems unreliable, I'm leaning towards plausible but not 100% believing her. The stuff seems to line up with his behavior and if it was some other woman I'd fully go with this holy shit moment.

Victims of child sexual abuse have drastically higher rates of victimisation via domestic abuse and sexual abuse and violence in adulthood. This is well recorded in numerous western nations. The psychological explanation for this is that when people who were supposed to care for you ignored your boundaries, violated them and hurt you, you quickly learnt as a child that your boundaries don’t mean shit, you can’t successfully enforce them to stay safe, and also that being in a close relationship with a person doesn’t mean they are a safe person. Depending on how often and how widely you have disclosed or reported previous abuse, especially if those disclosures were not taken seriously, you are less likely to disclose future incidents of abuse since “no one will believe you anyway”.
It is absolutely par for the course for abusers to deliberately select the vulnerable to form relationships with, as they are generally more easily intimidatEd and more likely to normalise the abuse, or at least fail to disclose it. When predators go hunting, it’s the wounded ones they cut out of the herd. Gunt selects women who have their vulnerabilities screaming out of them.

I'm torn on this.
On one hand- it's Ethan Fucking Ralph. Need I say more? After he more or less admitted to torturing small animals in his youth (as well as the more schitzo speculation that he was the killer the West Memphis Three got blamed for)- him date raping someone after simping and trying the old "nice guy" routine isn't surprising to me
On the other hand...it's Alice. Not only does she have untreated ("untreated" being keyword, many people get help for this and live relatively normal lives) BPD and is a pathological liar and clout-chaser of the worst sort, her allegations sound exactly like the lazy cookie-cutter #Metoo stuff that gets thrown around (AKA both parties were black out drunk and it's a he said/she said scenario). Nope, sorry- I need at least some modicum of evidence.

That's what cracks me up about Ralph. Alcohol can be great when you're breaking the ice with a romantic interest. But mutual attraction is a prerequisite. There's no level of beer goggles that would make Ralph attractive in the eyes of any woman that doesn't have a fat fetish. When you're that repulsive, you have to go after broken gender neutral types like Meigh or just pay a hooker. Even someone with low standards like Alice can't bring herself down to Ralph's level without being blackout drunk. The Ralphamale is a grotesque creature and no normal woman would have sex with him.

More proof would be good but I am going to err on the side of: Ethan deliberately went after Alice because he knows she's mentally ill and easier to take advantage of. That seems to be Ethan's M.O. with women--he goes for the most wounded, fucked up ones he can. And then in his retelling of events, Ethan historically will reverse the roles of the offender and the victim to make himself seem like the good guy.
We already saw with Faith that many suspected her of simply being manipulative and attention whoring, which cast doubt on Faith. But, in the end it came out that certain abuse allegations were true and Faith was just too out of it to coherently articulate anything.
