That's what the technique has come to.

"The brave New world is already with us: New uniforms were issued to Chinese policemen.
A helmet with facial recognition allows you to quickly calculate a person from a database, and a thermal scanner will show who has a fever and who should be sent to a quarantine camp.

Wait for it to be adapted in the West

A few things found this morning.

May have already been posted, but having one lieutenant general killed in action, much less two, is a big deal. Again, just another sign the Russians have failed with their overly centralized leadership model. The Russians MUST send these flag officers down to run things. NOT a good sign. Last time I know of that two US lieutenant generals were killed in action was WWII. They were observing, NOT directing operations, one killed in France, one in the Pacific.

Something re Western economic actions against Russia. Shit happened fast, hitting hard. Seriously, Vlad, declare victory and leave.

And an article about Joey's visit to the troops.

With how Mariupol has gone, really being a wakeup call to how horrible urban combat is in a city with tall buildings everywhere and against an enemy that knows what it's actually doing, it shows that taking even eastern Ukraine isn't in the cards for Russia. I still think the whole plan was a decapitation strike followed by Russia installing a puppet government, but Russia's public statements are their off ramp at this point, if they try and take Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, and basically everything east of the Dnieper, total Russian dead and wounded can easily get into the 6 digits mark.

I bet the US military is following that fight very closely. For the last several years, they've been warning that wars in the future will most likely be taking place in dense urban environments, so this will be very helpful to see what does and doesn't work well.

demolish the buildings to ground level: problem solved

Genuine question: Why do people in western countries think they're the good guys?
I'm an American, and I don't see any of the wars we've started as good for the countries we've fought.
Are we really less corrupt than countries with dictators, solely because there's a different president every 4 to 8 years?
Do we really have an "open society" and "freedom" with a "liberal democracy"?
Cause in my neck of the woods it all seems to be pre-programmed by oligarchs just as much as any of the countries we are at odds with.

It's baffling to me that people criticize other countries for their corruption while ignoring their own. As if this is a "lesser of two evils" situation, and being "lesser evil" is a virtue.
Crazy times, as always.
Because no one is good. The Russians are not good, the Chinks are not good, the West is not good. I live in the west so they are creating prospects for me, why would I support the Ruskies or Chinks when its obvious they would shell us into oblivion if they could have it their way. This ain't some 90's sports movie like the mighty ducks where you root for the opposite team, you defend your country and your interests because it benefits you and your people.

Biden speech on right now. Man is as inspiring as a wet fart
"Can I hold her in my arms?"

Baden-PR on Ukrainian refugees: picked up a child, took a selfie, and even kissed

Can he follow instructions on how to be a human politician even more precisely?
