The only mitigating factor for nose-rubbing would be if he plucks his nose regularly. When that happens, you get a clean appearance with no nasal dangling modifiers, but the inside of the nose becomes scabbed and itchy. I fidget with my nose constantly because I grow nose hairs like Sasquatch and have to pluck them twice per week. So my nose is basically never not itchy and I'm always rubbing lotion into it. Also since I'm going to get TMIs I might as well go whole-hog. Nicholas, your nose wouldn't itch so much if it weren't so often tickled by the chocolate-flavored hairs of Jaden's Anal Bouquet. Also Nick is obviously on coke from his behavior and the composite of his character traits and everything about him. He is obviously coked up. It's possible he also plucks his nose like a fag!
I was talking about this with someone on matrix last evening and here are my observations in addition to yours:

I’d be shocked if nick can get 1000 unique viewers per stream any more. His super chats are abysmal and he and other AF streamers are having to browbeat the audience to give money.

There's a difference between having a "silver tongue" and putting together coherent talking points. I think Nick has a good wit and that's about it, I would not say he has a silver tongue and I certainly would not say he has coherent talking points.
I used to believe this about Nick but whenever Nick is faced with someone who slightly stands for his convictions, he just replies with rote "You just don't get it!" "You're a boomer/millennial!" "Trust the plan!" or some other nebulous phrasing that can't really be tackled in a tangible way. He coats it with humor which can sway a lot of idiots but he's not really funny anymore so it works less. If you watch his "debate" with Kai, Nick does a lot of fake deference but also tries to strong arm him as the leader, gaslighting Kai , misrepresenting bible passages and pivoting his incel arguments into something else every time it's refuted.
He's "impressive" in a similar (but not the same) vein as someone like Vaush or Destiny could be considered "impressive". That is to say, he is wrong more often than when he is right, when he is right, it is incidental, and he mostly just attempts to talk a bunch and/or overwhelm whoever he's going against. So, impressive if you don't actually know what's being talked about or are already bought in, and otherwise pretty disappointing.
