Warning : torture

Violent shots were found in the phone of the head of the movement "Rights of Youth", a resident of the Zaporozhye region named Pavel Kishinets.

In the frame is Black Maxim, who lives in Melitopol. Neo-Nazis detained him for his pro-Russian views and through cruelty, violence and beatings tried to get information about the guy's like-minded people. The further fate of Maxim, unfortunately, is unknown.

Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the guy, please inform the People's Militia of Public Security of the city of Melitopol.

Said something at the beginning when people were saying Ukis should go the IRA route, the IRA only got as far as it did because they faced what was basically a heavily armed police force, Russia has no problems calling airstrikes and artillery shells on location X to completely wipe out the enemy forces.

The hills are alive with the sounds of Ivan.
PIRA faced plenty of troops from the mostly part time and locally raised 11 battalion strong (and now defunct) Ulster Defence Regiment to intermittent deployments of the Parachute Regiment along with armed RUC (now the more clearly civilian PSNI). Alongside these there was a high degree of collusion with loyalist paramilitaries. The lads had serious opposition. There were places in South Armagh where British troops came to respect the fighting skills of some IRA cells, I think even reversing arms when one PIRA funeral passed. However British intelligence became increasingly effective at penetrating cells and command strictures - the PIRA counter-int head Fred Scappaticci was a Brit spy - and Provisional Sinn Féin became more politically adept that peace came.

It's 100% the usual CIA bullshit. One of the first thing burgers do in training a vassal's military is teaching them the dark arts of torture and human rights abuse for the optics.

What's amazing about America is that they're easily the most fucked country when it comes to mass murder of civilians and abusing PoW's Remember the shit they got up to in Iraq? Industrial scale torture, having their attack dogs bite off prisoner's balls, raping women and children while their dad's are tied up in the next room. The stuff they admitted to in Abu Gharaib was a tiny fraction of the what actually went down. The 'inquiry' was of course a cover up

What the fuck happened to that poor guy in the top picture. Never seen that one before. Wow. The accounts in that article speak of a situation worse than in Saddams prisons.

Realistically, even if they wanted to, they couldn't, and that's even if they pushed all the Russians out of Ukraine. I don't see them really having the capabilities to mount that kind of offensive anymore. Maybe pre war if they had strategic and tactical surprise. Also saying the don't want to retake it by force isn't the same thing as saying they don't want it back.
Well, everyone knows that they're not getting Crimea back without force. He probably just worded it that way to soften the potential shock.

Oh maybe. An advance is an advance, tho. If territory is abandoned without fighting, it still is lost. In fact could suggest a severe tightness with manpower for the Russians, perhaps from a mix of an original lack of numbers and attrition from various causes. Obviously there could be a proper callup of conscripts and reservists, but it is interesting this has not happened.
I don't think that Putin can do a proper call up of conscripts and reservists without admitting that this is a war. Which he really doesn't want to do. He's already been caught once using conscripts and he had to cover his ass by claiming they'd been deployed by mistake/against his orders and had been withdrawn. If he starts using them openly his people's support for the war starts evaporating as he starts forcing their sons to go die in Ukraine.

Saying there'll be no retaking of Crimea by force isn't the same as saying he doesn't want it back. It's really just an admission that as a practical matter they can't reclaim it by force.

Russian military medics are helping children in the Kiev region.

Wounded children - an eight-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy - were promptly brought to Russian military medics. Children have shrapnel and gunshot wounds.

The paramedics of the Airborne Forces provided first aid to the children under the ongoing mortar shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and then evacuated them by air to a field hospital.

which one of these best describes you / your current mood? I’m the one on the right I think.

Interestingly, even though the concession of Crimea as Russian territory has been one of Moscow's goals all along, in response to this interview Roskomnadzor has censored the two media outlets involved. Hopefully a translation gets put out, the interview is 1.5 hours long so there's gotta be something else in there that pissed the Russians off.

It could also just be that they're mad they interviewed him at all.

For the sake of 7 minutes of fame, the daughter of a famous Russian actor who attended the Putin rally throws her father to be eaten by journos.
if I remember right, they rounded up and threatened most if not all of those guys at that rally, correct? so dad, being the high-profile person he was, gets told by the Russian govt. to attend the rally or be destroyed, complies under duress and probably against his wishes, and daughter then gets to eviscerate him on CNN - how very nice!

The west doesn't seem to know that Navalny is the Russian Richard Spencer but a bit more extreme.

Alexei Navalny and the Russian Nazis

15,581 views Feb 3, 2021 Let's retrace the stages of Alexey Navalny's political path together. For liberals Navalny has become a symbol of the struggle for rights and democracy in Russia and the world today. We will start from when he was one of the organizers of neo-Nazi marches. We will move on to political campaigns against immigrants, xenophobic messages and support for the violence of the Russian anti-immigration movement, among the most ferocious in the world, responsible for hundreds of racially motivated killings. Thanks to Dmitri Kovalevich and Greg Butterfield for the English translations. SOURCES

Not really. The earlier part of the thread I found interesting and more diverse but it's settled into what you described and I stopped frequenting it as a result. I find it very interesting how they see this place as pro-Putin and anti-Ukraine and figured it'd be fun for people to see the takes they had on the POW leg-shooting since it was quite different from here.
Also a few guys who regularly use 'there is plenty of evidence', 'we all know', 'there is tons of footage out there that backs up my claim', ...
but never post a single link.

Their air superiority doctrine of maneuver-and-fire-back is also flawed. By avoiding a missile with fancy aerobatics tricks, you leave yourself wide open to be killed by the wingman of the fighter you just launched a missile at - basically suicide. No pilot actually flies an Su-27/33/35 the way they were designed for that reason.
I've always heard their doctrine was "ground control gives you a vector, you approach, acquire target on radar or IRST, head back through the mountains to avoid getting picked up on Western airborne radar" as their purpose isn't so much obtaining air superiority by themselves but taking advantage of their SAM network to double-team the enemy air power.
In other news, Zelensky is asking for planes like F-35s and tanks seriously bro you have already like most of the world's stingers and javelins and now you're asking for countries to give up well-guarded military technologies that took over a decade to make.
lmao the US kicked Turkey out of the JSF program simply because they purchased S-400s, and there would be no time to train a MiG pilot to take advantage of a F-35.
The thing is a goddamn spaceship compared to an 80s Russian fighter.
