Main issue with LA is really the public transport part. It doesn't have an extensive metro/subway system like either NYC or Boston and some of the better beaches is going to be in San Diego - around a 3-hour car drive away from LA. Not really sure how palatable that is to most Europeans who often struggle conceptualizing how massive the US is and the distance between places are even intra-state.

Florida just has memes, the cities and tourist spots are fine for tourists. places like Miami are still big vacation destinations for a reason. It's just among young people memees are better known than travel information lol.

Florida can be a great tourist destination, but it hugely depends on the area. Something like Key West offers a ton of history, food, beaches, etc. and is generally considered a nice place to stay. Miami and Orlando are obviously the bigger names for your typical city or theme park experience, though I don't know how friendly they would be to foreigners who haven't experienced other parts of the US.
This is all propaganda. The entire state of Florida has a stockpile of bath salts we are required to snort every morning and we file our teeth for quick and easy tourist face munching.
