Musty’s thread has taught me a lot about paranoid personality disorder, never really thought about it before because comparatively it’s more rare compared to schizophrenia but hot damn.

Paranoid personality disorder is a Cluster B and all Cluster B’s can share similar traits, it’s not a stretch at all to think she’s a paranoid personality with histrionic traits.

Despite Musty constantly claiming that Darth Kenworthy/Georgia Bolinger said she had "histrionics disorder" (not an actual diagnosis), none of the pages she shared from the DCS brief in her Court of Appeals case states anything of the sort. This may well be yet another in a long line of cases of Musty making shit up whole cloth, either as a deliberate lie or as a result of her paranoid delusions and hallucinations. And yes, you're right, Musty just glosses over the fact she was diagnosed with paranoid personality disorder, pretending that didn't happen, in order to tilt at schizophrenic windmills.

I also hadn't really considered paranoid personality disorder for Musty before, but upon reviewing the diagnostic criteria PPD fits much of her behavior. I'm guessing that was her primary diagnosis because her paranoid delusions were the biggest psychological stumbling block to her dealing with DCS and getting her kids back.

- Also, Musty has in fact attempted to commit suicide by OD at least once before. That's what led to Musty's kids being removed from her custody in the first place. She also tried to dramatically hang herself after LaMonte divorced her. So it's ironic that she'd claim she would never do such a thing now.

Irony of ironies: the therapist she saw for a single session at Family Services left to work at the VA. So if Misty has rapport with her, AND only wanted services from the VA, she probably could have petitioned to see the same former Family Services therapist at her new job location.

But none of this has anything to do with Misty's complaints about being "forced to choose" a single therapy location. The problem was that Misty refused to tell the courts who her new therapist would be. DCFS didn't give a shit where she went, just so long as they knew who the therapist was and so long as Misty signed papers to allow that therapist to report on her progress to the court.

I pointed out upthread that Ed is in charge over there and that's why his name is appearing on the court docs. Misty is a fucking idiot. He's just relaying their records to the court and that doesn't require him to have actually seen her in person. The therapist might have diagnosed her based off one visit and that initial first-impression diagnosis might have changed as therapy sessions went on, but they didn't. Of course that's not the way a therapist should be doing things so it's unlikely. Misty is batshit, the state's lawyer probably just said that Misty is prone to histrionics and Misty took it from there with her "practicing medicine without a license" craziness.

Misty gets hung up on finding one loose thread, she thinks if she gives it a tug the entire system will unravel and she'll get her son back but fortunately enough people have eyes on a single case that things like that don't happen, she isn't going to get an abused child put back into her home because someone misdiagnosed her with the wrong personality disorder or because another lawyer insulted her, or because the case worker's cousin did drugs once when he was a teenager. No amount of digging into the past of these people is going to nullify the judge's final ruling to a TPR.

According to the DCS reports Musty put online in October 2019, Musty told DCS she didn't want them talking to the VA. In November 2019, she made a post on Facebook stating she was refusing to tell the social worker in charge of her case the name of her new therapist so she couldn't "corrupt" them. And according to the appellee brief Musty recently shared sections of on Facebook, Musty refused to sign any release of information forms for her mental health care records until November 2020. She also revoked that release of information permission on at least one occasion. So yeah, Musty did everything she could to try to control/limit the information DCS got about her mental health treatment (what little she actually attended), thinking this would let her get one over on DCS somehow. She was wrong.

Because the people who are in charge of evaluating these plans are not required to accept Misty’s interpretation of the plan. They aren’t going to accept “For sure I completed therapy. But I am not going to tell you who with, if they were qualified, if I showed up, or if all I did was trash pick some instruments, fake up some receipts, and play kumbaya to my animals in the shit shack. I can has kids?” They only accept the plan, followed to the letter.

Been watching a lot of old episodes of parking wars and they would have a ball with Misty. If she got tickets, they would be discriminating against a disabled vet. If they booted her, it would be Lamonte’s fault and she was only being booted as part of his schemes.
