What I like to know is where are Republicans? I have barely heard a peep from them for months. It's one thing to not interrupt your opponent when they're making a mistake, it's another to not swiftly and ruthlessly capitalize on such mistakes which I have yet seen done.

They have no backbone. They're protecting their own hinds. Remember Trump was the GOP's one chance to grow a spine. All the did was ride it out.

Our whole political system needs to be purged and cleaned inside out.

The DNC is seeing this with the Cuban refugees and large swathes of hispanic south and south-west that suddenly voted too much for "not DNC" and it is suddenly making people go different directions at the same time trying to find a solution to keep the voting block.

In 1750 it was mostly just Anglos and maybe Dutchmen that were considered "white"
By 1850 it had widened to Germans and Frenchmen,
By 1950 it had widened to include the Irish, Italians, and so forth.
By 2050 I imagine Mexicans and some other Hispanic groups will be brought under the banner.

The parents of third generation Hispanic immagrants report the issue they're most concerned about is their children keeping their language (ie* by the third generation they're mostly speaking English)
I don't have coorborating source on hand, bit this has tracked with my personal experience so far (friend of a second gen immagrants and while he speaks Spanish he generally doesn't and can't really write it, so I imagine his children if he has any will barely have it)

Alongside that once we get to third generation the birthrate starts dropping below replacement level as well, so they're definitely integrating some ways for sure.

I imagine political slants will also start readjusting over that process too.

It's funny, for all the supposed "we're going to build back better" I haven't seen a single project to fix the highway, still have potholes on my street, and the county is the one doing all the fund raising to replace an aging water treatment plant.

Guess the focus groups, think tanks, commissions, and DIE groups haven't decided where to allocate the infrastructure spending yet.

See, now when I mentioned that, everyone made sure to screech at me that the Biden administration was going to allocate funds for the state, county, and cities to do this stuff.

Obama's rise was Uniparty based, but only in the sense that there was a sect of the DNC that really didn't fucking want to deal with the Clintons anymore after Monicagate and the corrupt bargain they made where the ENTIRE DNC promised Hillary the Presidency and that the entire party apparatus was to be dedicated to that goal at the expense of anything/everything else.

John Edwards led the charge and cracked the armor, which let Obama in to knife Hillary in the back.

Obama's progressiveness was largely marketing based on the fact that Hillary voted for the Iraq War while Obama didn't and the fact that Black John Kennedy type would play better with young voters as 2008 was also a sort of generation turn-over moment culturally in term Bush being President for 8 years, which might as well be a decade in political terms.

There was a leaked CIA document where they talked about how Obama would be a better face for continuing the regime change wars they had planned. Hillary had too much baggage, and a guy named Barack Hussein Obama would be a better shield.

They were correct.

What frustrates me is there's still a better chance it actually gets fixed if the feds handled it directly than my local gov't.
Inslee just signed some massive transportation bill, which is mostly about making more hybrid ferries and increasing car tabs to do it, with roads/bridges that keep getting washed out a distant priority for the state leadership, because the government can't crow about green energy fixing that.
...Almost the entire population (and certainly the western half of the state) is powered by hydro and already has record low greenhouse emissions

If they only pay attention when it goes up, and ignore it / don't report on it when it goes down, they can claim it keeps climbing even though it's going from like 35 to 36 then 34 to 35 then 35 to 36 again...
