General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I may be wrong (and defiantly hopeful) but this reads more like a troll trying to start some drama, rather than a legit fan of Calli's trying to white knight on her behalf.
That could be the case, what with the misspelling of her name. Then again looking back through his comment history, he seemed to be unironically excited for Holofes. It feels more genuine then the average troll job.

I would watch a stream of Korone doing something as mundane as reading aloud a phonebook.
She'd make it fun, especially if she does it as an English chsllenge.

Being a Calli fan is s suffering
That's how you end up, when seduced by Those Who Live in Deathcuckholdry. When grace is sullied, it rots people from the inside. Breaks them.
Claims to be a fan of Mori but keeps spelling Calli as "Callie".
To be fair that could have been a spellcheck error.

An interesting video popped up in my feed, a 10k sub youtuber who makes guides for various gacha cell phone games like Princess Connect and Blue Archive (HL has shilled both) talked about his vtuber application process to both Hololive and Nijisanji and his experience interviewing with HL. He didn't make either but got to the second round for HL.

Random info: not surprisingly the guy speculated that having previous streaming/youtube experience , being willing to follow a a strict schedule (explain Sana??) and having other skills like singing, drawing is important.

Niji never contacted him. HL contacted him after a few days of submitting his application and set up an Zoom interview that was very "corporate." The interview was similar to any office job, his answers were also super formal and business-like.

He speculated he was rejected cus his channel is too small, his isn't a good singer, and HL is looking for aspiring idols who will do anything to reach that goal including dropping everything , quitting their 9-5 job to be a vtuber. He was too focused on the digital marketing and social media aspect instead of the creative idol stuff in the interview and didn't show his creative side.

Nothing in the video was all that surprising but it was interesting to hear a first-hand account.

Shitpost: guy got rejected cus he can't pronounce Gura's name correctly, filthy casual who wouldn't commit to dropping his 9-5 to be a corpo vtuber.
It's nice insight into how applying and audition works. Half his half his speculation isn't exactly true since Hololive will hire a 2view if they pass their requirements. What probably got him rejected ultimately was not having the aspirations/ambitions to not just be an idol but someone who wants to be on stage and perform.

You don't really have to sacrifice your side job or anything either a lot of Holos are doing Vtubing while in college or while working another job too.

I feel like it's on Calli also tbh for not even trying to plan out a choreo with the choreographer. Ina was likely told she can do what she wants because she's not exactly an energetic person let alone a dancer so she planned a simple movement choreo with her own choreographer meanwhile Mori went with a balls to the wall wing it rapper dance instead.
I’m just going to point out that you are placing preemptive, spectulative judgement based on assumptions. This is behavior commonly referred to on the chans as “breeding rrats.”

Neither you nor I know how much the choreographers for the girls knew their behaviors; while several of Gura’s moves were taken straight from her VR streams, the rest wasn’t. And while maybe I should have expected some crazy moves from the former idol, Kiara still blew me away with her energy.

Reading his comment history indicates that he’s probably a normie-leaning fan. Not exactly malicious, but definitely dumb. As most normies tend to be.

Niji is reselling Voice Packs, one of which includes Lulu
I wonder how this works considering Lulu is no longer affiliated with the company. Does she still get a share of the profits or does Anykara keep it for themselves

Selen will probably reach D1 in her 'Solo Master' APEX challenge in the next few games.

She's said that, after the challenge is over, she's going to cut down on the amount of streams she does on a weekly basis because she's happy with her growth and wants to do this long-term without getting burned out. Right now she does about 7-9 streams a week.

You underestimate schizo antis. There's still the possibility he played the long game by meticulously posing as a normie months prior just so you would think exactly that. No, I will not take my meds.

Could also be something as simple as just not being what they're looking for. I'm sure with thousands of applicants they can tailor pick their candidates to try to get as close to a specific personality as they want.

With previous gen debuts we were always impressed by their ability to pick good talents. There are probably a lot of people who fit the bill but finding a candidate that would be good for the company is their priority. If they can detect that you wouldn't be the best collab partner or something they would reject you.

Assuming you’re not being facetious, schizo antis are, truly, too dumb to be malicious. One individual thought Kiara had stolen her rightful spot in Myth and proceeded to shit up the /vt/ Global thread for approximately 5 months, to the point that she got a name; several anons admitting to being sent there from dox-spreading discord servers were children repeating whatever the admins/mods told them. Hell, your account dates to Dec 2021, meaning you were here when that one guy frothing at Scuttle and his “niji-defending” kept sockpuppeting.

Antis. Are. Not. Competent. They do not change up their typing styles and word choice when they reply to themselves. They do not think things through fully (paying for the membership(s) of a person/people you hate). But most of all, they are horrible actors. Which makes them a far lesser threat than your run-of-the-mill shitposter, I assure you.

I know its been long since we've seen almost all of Holos new year's outfit and it got me thinking, what if IRyS' costume will reveal it on or before JP's summer festival? Idk but it seems like she'll make it by then.
It's pretty inexcusable how long IRyS has been waiting for an outfit change after having it formally announced. It's taken longer for her to get the outfit then Myth had to wait for their casual outfits.

There was 236 days in between Gura's debut and the first cat shark stream (I'm not gonna bother calculating the days for all of them) and Irys debuted 260 days ago. SO 24 days longer at the moment, its not too bad yet but if she has to wait until summer then that's almost a year. I'm gonna assume that they didn't want to have any new announcements or reveals leading up to Holofes and the debut of 7 new members takes precedence over a outfit (especially if there is some disagreement between Irys and her artist on design choices keep in mind she still doesn't have the kimono either), I predict the announcement will come about 2 weeks after the new stars are done debuting with the actual reveal a week after that.

On a related note, I looked at Irys's concept art when looking up dates, did anyone else know that she has a slightly different design without the poufy skirt. If some shorts were added to it so she doesn't look like she is just not wearing pants i think its actually an improvement on her design.

Non Anon having a rough time with her PC playing Ghostwire: Tokyo and Streaming... RX 580 (idk vram, hopefully 8 GB, ghostwire spec says 6 GB), idk exact model of i7 (I assume 4c8t), 16 GB RAM. Ghostwire itself is minimum spec 12 GB, recommended 16 GB, really no room for OBS to be running on top probably. Some guy was trying to talk up a dual PC setup, which I really don't think is necessary, apparently Sumi's old PC is with Non also, though (Non's PC was out of commision for their debuts)

At least it's not the end of the world now to upgrade components. DDR4 RAM is cheap, GPU availability is starting to ease up (6600 XTs are dropping in price a bit), and plenty of choice for CPU/Mobo (maybe expect more hitting the used market when the AMD Ryzen 5800X3D hits and when AMD also releases AM5 in the not too distant future, supposedly this year iirc).

RAM is on the less expensive side, so that would probably be what I'd grab first in Non's case to see if it alleviates things. Just get a 2x8 GB kit to fill out the other mobo slots or something like that. (unless it's filled with 4x4 GB, which you could still switch out two at least, 24 GB is more than 16 after all) GPU is definitely, most certainly the main problem, but it is spendier.
