I can answer this. Depending on the bank (i.e credit union versus bank) it could be 5 or 7 years, however many banks are moving to 10+ years with the adoption of cheaper archiving for file data/untructured data..

Courts could be any length of time depending on the type of data from 3 years, 10 years, or forever. Type of data being criminal records versus Leins, name changes, divorces, etc.

Hospitals are usually 5-7 unless it's Oncology related and then it's a 20 years retention requirement here in the US. Likely overseas as well.

Credit card companies usually do 5 years but will do 7 in the case of people who filed bankruptcies in case investigations come up during that time.

If its his SSN he can get access to it for as long as they have it.

Phil has said and done things in the last year that get people canceled. Also even if it was ten years ago, people still get in trouble for that mate.
