General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I could be wrong about this, but isn't every Myth member's chat just a never ending river of text? The first thing I do when I watch any of their streams is immediately close the chat because there's no point in shouting into the void. And I think it also helps with maintaining a good video latency as well, but I have no evidence to back that up.

every chat is cringe and spams the same memes, jokes, and references; Kiara practically had a breakdown over how repetitive 'bottom left' was getting, and Ina had to make a emote specifically for when she wants backseating as an attempt to tard wrangle her chat (and she has one of the better ones)
Sure, and they went out of their way to address the problems and wrangle the retards and for the most part it worked (the Elden Ring faggotry is a tourist problem). Gura does absolutely nothing to rectify the cringe shit.

They sound similar enough on rare occasion to make for some funny and cute banter, but yeah you'd have to be deaf to get them mixed up normally.

Wow, I didn't hear it before but now it's uncanny. On their own I could tell it apart, but when they impersonate each other it's wildly identical.

Back when I was still using Pale Moon having the chat open would usually cause a lot of lag. With Brave / Google Chrome, though, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Ina still has the problem and spent like ten minutes ranting about it not too long ago. Kiara's chat just moved on to spamming other repetitive shit.

Lest we forget: Cover has graduated thirteen talents (Aloe, Coco, Rushia, Chris, HoloCN, 3 from Holostars)

64 talents are currently active. Even with Hololive's resources, name recognition, and presumably good selection process, they still ended up dropping 1 out of 6 talents approximately.

VTubing is a rather volatile industry in the end. Companies take risks early on, and end up having troubles later. All things considered, Nijisanji is doing fine: Even their "worse off" talents like the Korean branch have 10s of thousands of subs, which are numbers that most indies dream of. There's a reason why people keep applying to them.

TLDR stop Niji doomposting. Gatling gun is not real.

Not saying much really, this is just standard job interview stuff.
HoloCN deserved to graduate though to be fair.

Not Nijidoom posting, but the gatling gun is real.
Nijisanji launched EN talents every two months, and has just recently launched another audition literally a week after Noctyx's launch. I don't know how else you're supposed to call that.

Pretty much, yeah. Sana's chat is pretty much the only 'normal one' that I find myself enjoying in HoloEN.

Guys, I have an idea. It's true that having too many VTubers in a group tends to stunt their growth. For that reason, we need to avoid shotgun approach and only occasionally add members, and don't do it in waves. Keep it to single digits.

Using this approach, we can avoid our VTubers having measly 5-digit subscriber counts.

Furthermore, we have heard many bad things about management. Management does all kinds of horrible things that can kill growth and creativity. Therefore, we should give talents full autonomy on what they stream. The amount of management should be as minimal as possible.

It's stupid that collabs with penis-havers are banned. However people only want to watch anime girls. Therefore we shall give the penis-haver an anime girl avatar.

Finally, as idol culture is shit, we shall reject it entirely and focus on western-style streaming.

What do you think of my idea?

Doesn't Gura handle her chat similarly to her social media? By the way, I wish everyone would use Twitter the way Gura does. The world would be a much better place.

Ichikara gives fuck all about the other talents as far as I've seen. They increased their marketing budget and efforts into their newer members but don't really put any effort bringing up their older talents.

To name some examples from the top of my head, Onomachi Haruka, who has never been amazingly popular or a standout, was selected as one of the team leaders for Koushien and had a big incline thanks to that, and then had a high-effort 3D debut with a whole baseball theme to it. Shibuya Hajime, who is probably most famous for being flamed by antis early on in Niji history and who has never managed to break out (he's at 144k subs despite being around for so long) was given a lot of attention and time during the concert celebrating Niji Wave 1 and got to host a karaoke competition during Nijifes. This final example is much smaller, but they even bothered to do a 2.0 brushup for Yaguruma Rine, a liver who streams once every few months.

At least with Holostars, Cover actually bothers to put them in big events such as the last Holofest, and even actively promotes them. I've yet to see Ichikara actually do anything in that similar nature or scale.

Nijifes featured both "big" and "small" Niji JP members. Hell, it highlighted foreign branches - the ones we've criticized Anycolor's management of. The foreign branches got multiple video segments during Nijifes last year. I didn't watch Holofes so I can't speak to how involved Holostars were with that in comparison.

I know you're not saying Cover doesn't care about Holostars though, I'm just trying to put up an example.

Yeah, I don't actually think that Cover doesn't care. My point is more just that people pull out 5d chess to explain why Holostars "struggles" (relatively speaking) without blaming Cover while immediately shitting on Anycolor for similar things. Cover can give Holostars concerts, 3d, and subway station ads and gets praised as "look how much Yagoo wants them to succeed." Niji will do the same and people will say that Anycolor doesn't care because they aren't getting Hololive numbers (and ignore it if they do).

It's funny, because I personally have nothing against any of those concepts, other than maybe "western-style streaming" it's just that all of the Vshojo members (other than Melody in small bursts) are so insufferable that they're just unwatchable. Hell, Phase Connect seems to hit most of those points, and yet Pippa, Tenma, Uruka and the other girls are still watchable because they're people, and not clout chasing whores. It's almost like being associated with Nyanners gives you the internet equivalent of leprosy or some shit.

Do people really unironically care about the chat when watching the girls? If you're there for the chat and it absolutely needs to be just right for you, just go chat on discord, or 4chan, or reddit, or any number of platforms until you find your goldilocks zone of perfect chat, and then I guess you'll be happy and can finally watch the actual content instead of being assblasted over chat.

I love that you say Mel is ok but Tin Rat is not.

You're a witch and should be burned at the stake for this.

I can understand liking the chat of smaller streamers (I usually try to participate in Pippa's chat when I'm watching live) but after a certain amount of live viewers all chats seem to just become a sea of emotes and spam.
