General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Do people really unironically care about the chat when watching the girls? If you're there for the chat and it absolutely needs to be just right for you, just go chat on discord, or 4chan, or reddit, or any number of platforms until you find your goldilocks zone of perfect chat, and then I guess you'll be happy and can finally watch the actual content instead of being assblasted over chat.
You made me realize that this thread is my chat.

EDIT: Seriously, during the Pippa/Lumi collab I instinctively posted my reactions here. Never even considered typing in the chat.

Lest we forget: Cover has graduated thirteen talents (Aloe, Coco, Rushia, Chris, HoloCN, 3 from Holostars)

64 talents are currently active. Even with Hololive's resources, name recognition, and presumably good selection process, they still ended up dropping 1 out of 6 talents approximately.

VTubing is a rather volatile industry in the end. Companies take risks early on, and end up having troubles later. All things considered, Nijisanji is doing fine: Even their "worse off" talents like the Korean branch have 10s of thousands of subs, which are numbers that most indies dream of. There's a reason why people keep applying to them.

TLDR stop Niji doomposting. Gatling gun is not real.

Not saying much really, this is just standard job interview stuff.
HoloCN, Chris, Rushia, and that trap Stars whose name I forgot doesn't count. They were fired after extraordinary circumstances

Back when I was still using Pale Moon having the chat open would usually cause a lot of lag. With Brave / Google Chrome, though, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
There's something fundamentally wrong—or right in an autistic standards-following way—with every Mozilla-based browser that makes YT chat a problem. On the Mac I use as a TV, chat-enabled streams glitch out and freeze within a few minutes if I watch them in Firefox, and even archived streams with chat replay will slowly fill the virtual memory with such malformed nonsense that it eventually forces a system reboot. Safari and Brave are fine.

Don't forget to make sure unprofessionalism runs in the company. Gotta care more about phishing being exposed rather than people being phished.
Froot had a lukewarm as hell anime take but the people sperging about it both there and the quote tweets are funny
Gotta let people know her type of man, so it's not her fault when she cheats on them....
lmao at the guy quote tweeting "she should respect the culture" for the culture that birthed NTR because of how widespread cheating is
Cheating unfortunately has been happening for thousands of years, and it feels like it's gotten a lot more normalized with the way culture is portraying it, both in the East and West.... It's sickening. Don't let that degeneracy be something you seek out in your media consumption.

sitting in a chat with majority chumbuds is always a bad thing.
Gura's chat is a cesspool of cringe. She knows that and that's why she limits her activities in social media.
every chat is cringe and spams the same memes, jokes, and references; Kiara practically had a breakdown over how repetitive 'bottom left' was getting, and Ina had to make a emote specifically for when she wants backseating as an attempt to tard wrangle her chat (and she has one of the better ones)
Don't read the chat. Given its Gura, the whole thing goes at 30 comments a second anyways.
Sure, and they went out of their way to address the problems and wrangle the retards and for the most part it worked (the Elden Ring faggotry is a tourist problem). Gura does absolutely nothing to rectify the cringe shit.

Letting a chat you can't even reasonably read, let alone participate in, affect your ability to enjoy the stream isn't even autistic. Its just weak and pathetic.

Kaoru let his contract run out, which isn't a bad thing.

HoloCN definitely counts because most of them were just in the crossfire of a totally different issue, and they were all given the opportunity to have proper graduations. So that's still more or less one graduation for every 6 members.

NIjisanji has 164 members (not including VR), and of those a total of 23 amicable graduations or, in the case of Moruru (Himemori Luna), allowing her contract to run out, for an average of one in every 7 members. However, because I'm good at Spinning, I could also say that 3 of those 23 members graduated were members of the KR group they bought out, and therefore the number of people who graduated after consciously signing on with Nijisanji is only 20 people, or 1 in 8.

Not bad for a company that leaves their smaller V-Tubers to die on the street tbh.

In Hololive? Fuck no. In Nijisanji? Depends tbh, since some people I actually know/interact with on twitter so you start seeing a lot of familiar faces and may strike up a convo with each other+the chubba especially in zatsus.

What is wrong is youtube's chat itself. The CPU usage of this piece of coded junk is ridicilous. Thank god there are extensions like LiveTL/Hyperchat which help alot and are a true alternative. They are alot more optimized and have the filter option for translation and the Mchad api.

Yeah, I don't think HoloCN still counts when they don't have proper graduation. Like I said, they're fired under extraordinary circumstances. And isn't HoloCN a joint project with Bilibili, just like VirtualReal for Niji, in the first place?

  • Agree
Reactions: PyrrhicDefeat
Rikka, Shien and two guys from something called "from ARGONAVIS" did a collab together.
For those who don't know, from Argonavis is a project/band that was originally suppose to be part of Bang Dream (bandori)/ was suppose to be it's male-centric spinoff before becoming it's own thing separate from bandori in November 2021.

The silverlining we can find is that even Reddit is happily shitting on this faggot.
I don't think he cares. Also I forgot that she also reads nearly every chat comment of his even if it not funny or interesting.
He won.

How does this thread keep falling into the same tribalfag shit-toss over and over again? It isn't even really entertaining at this point, and it's not like either side seems to come out of it with a different opinion, just considering each other bigger and bigger shills. Might as well shill best girl.

Also, in terms of Lauren, I hope he doesn't graduate/get terminated or anything. Primarily it's obviously that it would be a huge shame and a stupid reason to get booted out over, but I also can't help but feel interested in how many people would wind up watching his return. It's borderline amazing just how mainstream his fuck up became, and a lot of bad press is able to be good press. At least he didn't smoke weed, that shit would've gotten him executed on the spot.

I'm not sure. I was always under the assumption that HoloCN used the BiliBili platform but was always owned by Cover; that's why they allegedly had drama with the HoloCN managers trying to cause internal problems with Coco.

VirtualReal is majority owned by BiliBili, they just use the Nijisanji tech and is therefore more of a cousin branch than a sister branch. That's how I've always understood it, anyway. Nijisanji don't sell VR merch on their storefronts or anything.

Don't you pretty much need to run a joint venture with a Chinese company as the lead to have any realistic chance of operating in China?
