Apparently this is Duma member Mikhail Delyagin proposing that Russia should bomb Azerbaijan's oil facilities as retaliation for Azerbaijan starting military provocations along the border with Armenia (a CSTO member).

Sounds very much like a 'vassal testing the waters after smelling weakness' type moment.
I love the giant Z in the middle of the show. Not even the illusion of impartiality, despite being a debate show, supposedly the primer debate show in Russia.

Pretty hilarious since the Eastern front was home to nearly all of the actually decisive victories in WW1 instead of being meat grinders.

Plus, if you want to get into "Russia would have won if it wasn't for the revolutionaries!" well let's make it fair and eliminate Germany and Austria-Hungary being stuck on the Western Front and allow all their men and equipment to be focused on defeating the Russian Empire.

He also was doing a cope thread about how the Russo-Japanese war was a proxy war carried out by Britain and about how "we totally kicked the Jap's asses since they had more casualties than us" while ignoring that the Baltic fleet was completely anihilated.

And he responded to one guy that the Japanese lost 100 thousand killed in just Porth Arthur, really hilarious all around.

Even if you cause a shitton of deaths as long as your not targeting a particular race or nationality its all for the greater good comrade :^)
Well, they did that, too. There are also ethnic and religious genocides and the Soviet Union did both of these at some time or another. As for the kulaks, Stalin explicitly called for their total elimination as a class.

On land maybe they lost more. Definitely not at sea. Although I'd say that the other guy losing more men doesn't mean shit when you lost your best warm water port.

The Azov Monkey definitely hit it, it's just that he hit it at such close range the NLAW didn't arm it's warhead.
Seems it went off, as the blast was enough to turn the machinegun sideways and probably tear off a bunch of shit off the roof. He just hit it at such a piss-poor angle that he grazed the armor and the blast was mostly deflected. Aim was shit, he didn't lead the tank and he aimed at the turret rather the engine compartment which he had a clear shot on.

As to whether it armed or not, NLAW needs 20 meters to arm. Judging from the video he's on the 3rd-4th floor so that adds some distance as well, so chances are it did arm.

Had to share this one. Azov monkey manages to miss a perfect shot on a T-72B3 with an NLAW anti-tank weapon and just grazes it, tank keeps driving like nothing happened. It was practically point-blank and drunk Azov monkey still missed it. What happened to all that NATO training that poor westerners paid for with their tax dollars?

What's that weird flap opening (behind the blur) when the driver steps on the gas?

Depending on the room layout, where this was fired, maybe this was the best shot and he decided to take it, who knows.
Maybe he could have gotten a better shot, if the camera man wasn't standing there lol

Not sure what flap you're talking about, I couldn't see any while going frame-by-frame. Got a snapshot of the actual rocket, though. That confirms it's an NLAW.

Edit: Who knows if there even was a cameraman, maybe he was trying to shoot and take video at the same time.

Didn't even need a cope cage.

I've read a comment that the shot might have been too close for rpg to properly detonate.
And what the fuck is yet another tank doing going into town solo. That's fucking retarded.
What Chieftain said in his video about information surrounding this conflict, we can't really judge the tactics based on one drunk 10 second Azov snippet.

Not saying that we don't like our unsupported tank offensives, but it's probably a bad idea to judge things based on such snippets.

Didn't see any flaps, but I think the side armor on the tracks did flap around a bit. Or maybe some mud guards, not much else to flap around.

Between 00:03 and 00:04 it's still behind the blur and at the beginning if 00:04 it goes up.

(Pic not from the right time frame, just to show position)
Sadly I don't have an editing setup right now, else I would cut that segment out myself.

NVM: I think it's just an artifact of how this blur was generated. They can just keep the watermarks in for all I care...

Probably some on-turret stowage boxes, I suppose the crew either didn't lock the cover on it, or the famous Russian engineering got in the way of doing that.

I think that lighter part of the paintjob (after the white Adidas stripes) got pulled long in the blur and made it look like something was lifting and reflecting the light differently...

That's just a storage box there. Yeah, blur gets in the way.

And yet he still did better than me in most of my XCOM 2 playthroughs...

Something that the video shared by @Aidan talked about.

We only getting short clips and not getting the full long form video that tells the whole story.

That's what I honestly think about "cope cages".
I haven't seen many, if any, videos with tanks with them getting blasted through it, yet the internet made it into a founi with a verdict that they provide zero protection against anything, even though that is debatable.

Truly the power of reddit.

From what I recall it was established pretty early on they wouldn't do a thing against javelins, but would be effective against older systems fired top down like that in an urban environment.
