Who knows exactly what it means, but some level of boundary-crossing was coming sooner or later given the goobers who showed up to that con and waited for her at the front gate back in Summer/Fall last year. Probably not just dick pics or whatever considering that most of these women probably receive their fair share of that already.
Maybe she got approached on the street or at some 7-eleven or some shit. Sperg probably screamed "HEY KIARA" at her.
On the topic of harrasing vtuber roomates: What are your bets that at least one of the audience will show with a Calli cosplay or reference at DDK appearance on that Hawaii convention? Like, come on, it will be the closest you can possibly be IRL to Calli, but im afraid that will end on some yab like Kiara is experiencing.
You can bet that there will be a ton of Hololive cosplayers in the crowd.
The Chance is 100% , it was 100% before she was even announced to be there im sure, but im sure DDK and the organizers already have accounted for it , DDK is way more popular and well known than Keeki so im sure security is good around her.
At this point, she probably got more fans that came from Holo than what she originally had. The same fans will also whale for her on her DDK account.
It's gonna happen 100% im sure she'll have security or something like that come along and take them away. I know shes branching out with the DD persona but doing a convention when youre a well known Vtuber is an idiot move lmao. Either a huge nothing or a big yab is incoming save the date.
It wont be as bad as what Kiara was dealing with back in her Keeki days lmao. Some dude literally harassed her, sent flowers to her address, stalked her and made up claims that ended her idol career.
But i can imagine something going down for Karen
Im honestly surprised that Cover allow this i know they stated that they dont take notice into a talents private life but if she does go there and actually interact with fans that show up for calli then i can imagine Cover stepping in
Cover cant really do much especially since she already had somewhat of a presence online on her alt. At least more of a presence than the random roommate accounts the other girls have to bitch and moan since she actually created content and did live shows. I think Cover doesn't mind as long as she doesn't mention or talk about herself being Calli. Even if everyone knows.
Been lurking the thread since Myth debuted, felt like finally making an account just to comment on this -
If I'd known about DDK guesting at this con I could have actually went but this is too late to take some time off work for it. Either way, I had the same initial thought when I heard about the appearance. I hope it ends up a nothingburger, but any time I think of horrible con moments I think of a time Yuu Asakawa (her most popular voice work probably being Medusa in Fate stuff) was at a con and during the Q&A part of the panel some idiot asked her about her early voice acting days voicing hentai. Hopefully Calli is just performing and not having some session where all it takes is one dumbass to make things extremely awkward.
The only positive is that im sure the majority of the crowd will self-police and shame, shun and kick out the attention whore in the crowd. For every tard you get a few of those "forbidden knowledge, we must protect the secret" people.
There's a bunch of us in chat.
We're Nolan-level lazy for offsite OPSEC.
I just looking forward if I ever debut for people on Twitter to link to all of my shit on this site and call me a right-wing nazi as they try to cancel me.
What site is this, that allows you to find people's last 50 YouTube chat messages? Seems like a very useful tool for Kiwis.
EDIT: Found one of the tools they're using in that thread, but it isn't the one from the screenshot. Seems to work though.

Keep in mind that site/tool says it only shows the last 50 comments, you definitely aren't getting a complete picture of the comment history and Vtuber fans seem like ther more likely to be the people who comment frequently rather than rarely, they could have said a million nice supportive things to Pomu that you can't see because there older than 50 posts ago.
Edit: Just checked the site that
@One Quick Post linked, it defiantly isn't perfect because it has my Superchat history wrong and is missing memberships streams. Also realized how rarely I use chat. Kiara's kimoni reveal was the third most recent stream i actually chatted in, not counting memberships streams.
It's not great. Shows some 50 comments but not the last ones. Pretty sure I was spamming Pippa's chat the other day and those don't really show up for me.
I mean, having a metric fuck ton of comments bitching about how it was an unforgivable BETRAYAL!!! that they had their pet fag along unannounced can be a bit tedious. It's her channel, her choice.
Doesn't matter, I'm Pomu.
I think people forget that places like this and /vt/ and even Facebook groups are a microscopic part of a vtuber's following. Maybe you have 100 people pissed off about it and commenting on it and in that moment it feels like there is a huge mob of people going after said vtuber but there are another 900 or so people that are out of the loop and don't really give a shit. As for the whole deleting comments, I have never been a fan of people doing that but its mostly based on the principle that things on the internet should stay up for everyone to see. But its their channel, so she can do whatever the fuck she wants.
Currently watching Yugo rage at "Getting Over It" because after 2 hours she dropped to the beginning and started sperging the fuck out. The other boys were in the chat talking about takoyaki and whatnot. Their interaction is pretty nice and no one seems to walk on eggshells when around Yugo. You still get the "Deez Nuts" and sexual innuendos.
Yugo keeps moving the mouse around erratically (high sensitivity) and its giving me anxiety.
Does vshojo count as a large corpo now because of 11+ million venture capital?
Vshojo is indeed large corpo mainly because of how big their audience is. Even Hime gets more average views that the top 10% of other EN Vtubers whenever she dusts off her model and decides to stream. They also do stream on Twitch so its harder to figure out a metric to determine size.
I still have trouble calling them a corp because they don't really act like one as it is more of a bunch of individuals that just signed up under a name.
PhaseConnect is still small. On Youtube once a company gets at least 75% of its talents over the 100,000 subscriber threshold and they can lock-in a consistent stream of sponsors I would consider them "large". 100,000 subs being the point where one can probably make a living off youtube.
