Wow. Based.
I do what I can.

I did my legwork on the Orthodox thing. They already banned everything else Russian so it is just a continuation. All of Donbass and I would guess a good bit of the older generation in Ukraine are Orthodox Catholic and Russian speakers so it makes sense what they are doing. I said about 400 pages ago this is basically a civil war.

I'm still wondering what kind of culture shock Russians go through when Islamists start yelling "allahu akbar" while fighting on their side.

There would be none, in fact in Russian there's a phrase mocking it: "Alla v ya bar" which started during the Soviet War in Afghanistan due to the fact Allah Akbar sounds like "Alla (a Slavic female name that coincidentally originated in Ukraine), I'm in a bar", which is equivalent to our use of "aloha snackbar", and it is still used today.

In fact I remember during the Battle of Donetsk Airport in 2014, the DPR militias would commonly yell Alla v ya bar when they fired their RPGs at Ukrainians.

Man I miss those 1080p war videos from Donetsk, such as shame we have shit like OPSEC now.

Let me see if I understand correctly: Russia attacks a Christian near ethnostate with Asian (Buryat) troops, Arab, Armenian, Chechen, Black mercenaries and is still the bad guy? This is reverse Call of Duty.
"My name is Victoria Reznov and I will have my revenge" you can bet your ass that quote would come up in a COD based off this war. Because they would have to bring back an old character, but still fuck it up.

Sputnik, which is state news. YMMV. LGBTQIABBQsource.
Submitting a bill that suggests banning the religious practices of millions of your Russian-speaking citizens? Bold move, I'm sure the few Russian-Ukrainians that are still on Kiev's side will surely respond well to this. At the very least, maybe this will be the foot in the door towards finally banning the activities of Saudi-run/funded mosques in the rest of the world.

>Orthodox Catholic
Lol all jokes aside there were some things saying they are more aligned to other forms of Orthodox Christianity. The Russian Orthodox I believe only accounts up to 2% of the population.

Those planes are gone. Western safety standards prohibit any aircraft using or being used for spare parts. Such aircraft are treated as having Cancer AIDS and are barred entry to any first world airport.

Russia is going to have to pay for all of them as a precondition for the sanctions being lifted at this point.
Now that I have time to properly reply, I'm gonna have to say I doubt your claim here. For starters I tend to side with the guy who I know is an active commercial pilot in Europe, and who probably wouldn't make such a wrong claim for his youtube side gig. I'm sure there's room for him to be mistaken or over simplifying, but I wouldn't bet on it in this case.

Simple logic says it's nuts that a plane being grounded and cannibalized for standardly replaced parts would be a write-off. There's no functional difference between a plane sitting on the ground for months awaiting parts because some key part had been removed for inspection, found faulty, and scraped; and a plan sitting on the ground for months awaiting parts because some key part had been removed for use on a different plane. So planes grounded to be cannibalized for parts should be able to be repaired with certified parts at a later date because there's no difference between them and planes simply grounded for lack of replacement parts.

As for actually using used parts in planes, a quick googling says that's likely common. Searching for "used airplane parts" turns up multiple sources selling used and salvaged airplane parts. Mostly for small scale civilian stuff sure. However searching for "used commercial airplane parts" turns up some resources about airplane boneyards that mentions
"Valuable parts are then removed, such as flight controls, engines, landing gear, doors, blackbox recorders, APUs, avionics, and windscreens.

Parts such as these can be refurbished and resold for use on active aircraft.
So I'd wager it happens for the larger commercial stuff as well.

Beyond that, a random Smithsonian magazine article about "Frankenplanes" mentions a 707 that needed it's nose replaced that was later sold to the military to use for parts for their air tankers.

So yeah, I'm fairly certain that using airplane parts that aren't brand new isn't a particularly big deal. What matters is if the parts are traceable certified manufacturer parts, and whether or not they've exceeded their design lifespan. So the planes won't be total write-offs unless Russia starts manufacturing and using uncertified parts in them. Those are the ones that the leasers won't accept back.
Planes that just sat on the ground and now have a bunch of new parts? Planes that flew only using certified parts? Sure, the leasing companies will likely take those back as long as Russia has the records to back those things up. Will probably need to pay some fines in addition to returning the aircraft. Planes that used so much as one uncertified screw? The plane has zero value as far as the leaser and their insurers are concerned. They won't accept it back and Russia will need to pay in full for the plane, probably plus some fines.

Hell, forget about Western safety standards, the moment a Russian airliner goes down and it's revealed it was using a spare part or was being used for Western quality spare parts and given a subpar replacement part, most airports that do allow Russian planes will stop allowing them. And this most likely isn't an if, it's a when.
I doubt other countries will wait for an airliner or cargo plane to go down. As soon as Russia changes its own internal airworthiness rules to permit the use of Russian manufactured uncertified parts, or to permit the use certified parts beyond their designed lifespan is when other countries' air authorities will likely start reacting. Otherwise they risk being raked over the coals themselves if the first incident turns out to be something like an engine ripping off because shitty replacement bolts were used to attach it, and results in a plane going down in a densely populated area.

Whoever decided the fucking dog needs a Twitter account needs to be beaten repeatedly.
The problem isn't the dog having a twitter account. People love pets enough that I'm sure a random photo a day of a White House pet playing or lounging on random stuff would be followed and enjoyed by millions.

The problem is making that account into another propaganda outlet that attempts to put a "cutesy" spin on the administration's positions and policies. Fuck that shit. Just show the dog lounging around the oval office, being pet by random staffers/diplomats/politicians, or playing with people. Don't use it to signal boost the president's statement about the latest political squabbling or war.
