Somehow I feel Putin looked at it too, then said "screw it" and turned the ship towards friendly countries because improving relations with unfriendly ones was a lost cause.

And people who claim it to be something other than a scare, are mostly incorrect.
Only extreme fanatics who take Quran literally would be worried about something like that.
There are clauses in Muslim faith that even allows them to denounce their faith to keep themselves alive.

Yes it's haram to consume pigs. Taking a bullet coated in lard is nowhere near the same thing.

That makes even less sense not even counting the fact that mudslimes not going to heaven if they interact with a pig is bullshit. "You cause muslims to not go places!", might as well call someone plague repellent. Also pigs and monkeys are cool and it's an insult to compare them to slavs.
