Saying Biden and Harris would lose to Donald Trump is something to rile up the base for the midterms and something to get him out of the way. The entire Biden presidential campaign was him hiding out in a basement talking about polls that showed he was the only guy who could beat Donald Trump. Well, if he can't even do that anymore, and Harris polls even worse, might as well get people who poll better. If Joe Biden does not step down, I think he gets primaried.

He should be. Unfortunately, Biden is still the one with the best chances against Trump or any generic Republican in '24, despite the damage done, despite the political fallouts, and despite some people knowing better now.

Biden administration launches new one-stop shop website for COVID-19 information

The Biden administration launched this morning a new one-stop shop website to help people get access to vaccines, tests, treatments, masks, and the latest COVID-19 information.

COVID.gov also features a new test-to-treat locator tool that people can use to see where they can get tested for COVID-19 and receive appropriate treatments if they need them.

President Joe Biden announced the test-to-treat initiative in his State of the Union address earlier this month. Since that time, the administration has already launched over 2,000 of these sites, plus more than 240 sites across Veteran’s Health Administration and Department of Defense facilities to serve veterans, military personnel, and their families.

The website also provides people an easy way to find the level of COVID-19 in their community.

It is available in English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese and is accessible for those using assistive technologies.

I see the same people from Obama are in charge of this shit for Biden. Probably cost $100 million and barely functions.

It won't matter if their base shows up to support them if they've pissed away everyone else (and they don't cheat, again).

Cheating cannot create results from wholecloth, only nudge close numbers over the edge. See Virginia as an example of being unable to nudge the numbers far enough.

As for the base, you have it exactly right. People often think of the nation as 50/50 of the two parties. In actuality, it is closer to 30/30/40 with the 40 being the Independent or Moderate vote.

The base gives you a floor of votes... but you'll never win an election with just the base.

I think you could further divide that 40% of moderates into 15/15/10 where the 10 is the persuadable faction and the 15 are more partisan independents. They all can swing but some swing more easily than others

Much closer to 10/20/10, with the middle 20 being the malleable group. A surprisingly large margin of the voting populace is far more malleable than people think. The degree of entrenchment people think exists is nowhere near reality.

Interesting. I thought it was 30% base and 15% partisan moderate because McCain got 45% and still got stomped after the floor nearly gave out, and did the math from there.

Is that because voxpops and reporting in general never showcases the center ground? Seems like you only ever see or hear diehard partisans from either side on the media.
