It seems that a lefty from the UK went over to Lviv to help but was attacked by a member of the Misanthropic Division.
The IG account lectures them, asks to share this widely and posts 3 pics of one of the attackers.

copy-pasta: "Please share widely
In Lviv, the far-rights (neonazis) from the Misanthropic Division attacked our fellow volunteer, who was helping the soldiers with ammunition, equipment, and bulletproof vests. It happened near a military supply store, where he went for new purchases. He has a broken finger.
Let us not forget that Ukrainian anti-authoritarian and left-wing activists are organizing resistance to the invaders, helping the fighters, supporting hospitals and people in need of food, care and scarce medicines. Attacks on us, our comrades or acquaintances = SUPPORT TO THE OCCUPIER.
We strongly recommend all racial fighters to stop doing nonsense in the rear and start doing useful things. Want action? You know where to go.
P.S. one of the attackers. (2nd pic)"

fyi - Blue arm bands are Ukrainian special forces like AZOV, AIDAR, ...
Here you can see one the Operation.Solidarity heroes helping them.

Misanthropic Division is affiliated with AZOV and personally I don't think it's a very wise idea to call them out, lecture them, post one of their members his pic online and ask others to share it widely. Especially if you and a few of your friends are residing in Lviv where a lot of MD members reside.

Edit - seriously, if these guys find out then those Operation Solidarity members will be lucky if they just kick the shit out of them.

So about that gas thing...

Gas storages in Germany are 25% full,
Gas storages in Austria are 13% full.
World's largest chemical conglomerate BASF (Germany) is saying there is no way to replace Russian gas at such short notice, 40 000 people can be laid off.
Inflation in Germany hits record high 7,3% as opposed to projected 2%
Italian farming industry is at risk of losing 100 000 farmsteads and laying off 500 000 people.
Estonia says Ukraine must be restored using the money from Russian gas accounts which is exactly why Russia is switching to roubles that will be sitting in its own account.
Finnish cargo company VR Transpoint resumes shipping to Russia after just three days of not doing business.

Overall, despite the rhethoric, not a single EU country released a law that prohibits their gas companies to use roubles... yet. If they do, the situation will escalate. If they do not, the gas companies are free to use whatever currency they wish while the governments continue to expound they will not.

7.3% inflation? Seems quite low, if anything they fudge their numbers just like America does. Shadowstats puts America's inflation rate at around double what is reported by the government, so >14%. I image most of the Rothschild dollar-derivative west is in the same debased boat.

Reminds me of an old joke. What did Europeans use to light their homes before candles? Electricity!

Edit: About Zelensky and Biden taking a photo with the troops... It's just PR. It's no secret in Russia that Putin is paranoid about everything, old KGB habits die hard. He probably has a good reason for the paranoia, too.

Can that even be done? i'm talking about the part of prohibiting european gas companies from using roubles,
"Moscow is expected to make public its plans for rouble payments on Thursday, although it said it would not immediately demand that buyers pay for gas exports in the currency.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have agreed in a call that experts from their countries would discuss how payment for Russian gas exports could be made in roubles, the TASS news agency reported."

Basically it seems like moscow is giving buyers some time to switch to roubles for their payments. And, atleast in germany, there will be discussion on how paying in bananas could be done.
I don't think personally that there will be a ban on paying gas with roubles simply because the eu (specially germany) has to get most of their gas from russia. it would be political suicide to pass something like that.

Also: "Russia's most senior lawmaker said on Wednesday Russia could demand rouble payments also for other commodities including oil, grain, fertilisers, coal and metals, raising the risk of recession in Europe and the United States." reuters

What if Putin said to Germany, "Pay me in Javelins and Stinger missiles."

Am I wrong for wanting to see the west get put in its place for becoming so insanely detached from geopolitical reality?

I think I'm willing to endure a recession if it means the delusional politicians of all our countries being forced kicking and screaming into a come-to-Jesus moment.

Technically yes, if the lawmakers set their minds to it.
"Moscow is expected to make public its plans for rouble payments on Thursday, although it said it would not immediately demand that buyers pay for gas exports in the currency.
Yes, the switch is supposed to be gradual.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have agreed in a call that experts from their countries would discuss how payment for Russian gas exports could be made in roubles, the TASS news agency reported."
Our negotiators are stressing that the prices for EU customers will not go up and only the currency will change.

Our Top Men(tm) are doing their best to sweeten the deal given the current circumstances.

It is also political suicide to do business with a doubleplusungood worse than Hitler nazi aggressor. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, so enjoy watching them squirm.

Shower thought:

They said vaccines would have no side effects.
Then why has everybody in the world gone bugfuck insane?
The wildest thing I've seen so far, besides from witnessing the Azov Battalion being more worthless than literal Redditors (and yes, my sides are still in orbit), is how polarising the whole shitshow is. Correct me by all means if I'm being wrong, but I don't remember people chimping out at each other this fucking fierce during the Trump saga, the 2020 elections, the Chauvin trial or the meme coof.

Your optimistic as fuck if you think they wouldn't just double down on stupidity. I'm not sure there's many politicians right now, in any country, capable of having a come to Jesus moment. I think we'd all be better off hoping they get replaced. I'm not even focusing on any particular country, I think just about every last one could use that treatment.

The BLM "summer of love" had its virtue signaling tendrils being far more invasive and widespread (even though the risk to the fate of humanity was meaningless).

My reasoning behind this is that fucking everything had the stupid "BLM" shit plastered on it. Every corporation and brand put out the black background with white text logo virtue signal, and things entirely unrelated to black people or the culture war would have virtue signaling banner. Now there is a lot of the same shit with the Ukraine situation, but not nearly as widespread.

For instance, I distinctly remembering having to see the stupid fucking BLM banner on both the React documentation pages and the Django documentation pages. Right now, React (which is facebook/meta owned) docs has a virtue banner for the Ukies:
1648666970982.png

While Django does not:
1648666994413.png

So, by my arbitrary standards, the culture war on this is only 50% as intense. Also, the usual virtue signaling Americans (like, the employees of Roosterteeth) aren't baying and gnashing their teeth about Ukraine to any significant degree. Most of them are ignoring it, unlike the BLM virtue signal.

TLDR: The global implications, sanctions, and governmental consequences of this are far greater, but the social media storm is not nearly as insane as the BLM bullshit of 2020.

The speech of the President of South Ossetia on the reunification with Russia and the return of South Ossetia to their historical homeland.

By the way the German Foreign Minister said that Berlin is ready to give security guarantees to Ukraine
