I hope this war ends so I can go to Ukraine, get as many military surplus uniforms and helmets I can and then sell them back at a profit
I'm just hoping we get boatloads of sweet sweet ak parts kits, and imports of certain firearms....
I would be down for some Ukrainian Kalashnikovs personally, or even an AK-12 or two.
The black markets are already flooded with surplus from this war, and once it ends will be even more saturated. Shitty part is, our cucked country won't import it, because of "muh gun violence."
Iraq had a "bigger army" in 1991. We saw what happened.

Russia has largely squandered their "bigger army", while the Ukrainians are using their smaller army far more effectively than anyone imagined.

Size of an army doesn't mean much when the logistics are poor, the strategy unworkable and air superiority sporadic. War today is a combined-arms operation, actually been that way for many years now. Still don't understand how Russia could have pissed away their VDV the way they did.

Russia's "bigger army" has been severely hamstrung by the old Russian/Soviet practice of denying noncommissioned officers, junior officers, and field grade officers the ability to use initiative to react with unexpected situations on the battlefield. Instead, the Russians have been forced to send generals down to Ukraine to personally ensure operations are carried out. These generals are up front, deciding what to do when subordinate units run into unexpected situations. They are acting as company and battalion commanders. Then these flag officers and colonels end up getting killed. From what little I know believe one Ukrainian general has been killed. We see the Ukes using initiative at all levels, keeping the Russians off balance. Would say they're using the US/NATO provided training rather well.

If you will, imagine Gulliver being held down by a myriad of small ropes. Russia's situation in the Ukraine is not unlike that of Gulliver.

And if Russia is having this much trouble conventionally against Ukraine, simply cannot see them defeating NATO forces conventionally. NATO trains a lot together, shares lessons learned/best practices among themselves. Their logistics are a quantum leap better.

Seriously, ol' Vlad needs to end this war. The conventional disparities between his army and Ukraine, much less NATO, grow every day.
Serious question, since I love to shitpost but have to ask because a lot of your posts seem like cope: Why apply western logic to Russian problems? And why would you think Russia would lose - when they haven't deployed more than a tenth of their available soldiers to the conflict? To me it seems like they are sending a lot of second rate soldiers into a second rate problem. They don't give a shit if it's a meat grinder, that is how they fight wars. They have a ton of generals, and a ton of conscripts. Eventually they will win. It's that simple.
I thought that story was a bit old. That's dude would die walking across a field in full military gear or even something lighter. I suppose these days with inflations drugs aren't cheap.

I also don't think too much of the idea Putin is being misled. This war has to get to a point for him where he can declare victory. Perhaps he ignores inessential bad news for the sake of his mood, but forces moving south and a bit of pressure up north, suggests clear enough thinking, presumably an enlarged Donbass, de-facto annexed, with Novorossiya towns like Mariupol (particularly Mariupol if possible) replacing them as de-facto but not de-jure Russian territory held to keep Ukraine on its toes.
Last ditch if he gets tired of this expedition is to split the country in two. East becomes a Russian satellite, West becomes a western satellite: Soft Berlin wall 2.0.

He'd probably do the same if he won the whole country, more or less. Ukraine is just a buffer\speedbump for the Russians, to keep the westerners out. They don't call it the bloodlands for nothing.
There is one conclusion we can make: war is hell.
Ain't that the truth. But it is entertaining.

I'm just saying, I see mosins in use, and those can't be blocked by existing import laws. I need more mosins goddamnit. Parts kits also fall under a different category that full firearms for import purposes.

That's a massive violation of the non proliferation treaty, and every single country that has the capability to make nukes would immediately start. Japan, Poland, South Korea, and more would immediately start nuclear programs. Plus if one of those countries you sold them to actually used them, there would be a very good chance that it would open you up to a reprisal attack.
oh noes! not the hecking international treaterinos!

like come on man they have been shitting all over international law since 2014, even more so with this invasion, you really think they give a fuck about the npt at this point lol

My warfare experience is limited to Risk, Hearts of Iron, and a bad week in New Jersey. I don't know who to believe or who is winning, my guess would be Russia.
And I base my entire knowledge of strategy and tactics on Sengoku Basara. In my professional opinion it is a shamefuru dispurei that neither the Ukrainians nor the Russians are riding into battle with motorbike horses and thus both sides must commit Son Goku.

I would very much enjoy a source that doesn't depend on videos I can't verify out of ignorance or opinion pieces about Ukraine marching to Moscow and other rampant stupidity. The better the source, the less time I will spend here. EVERYBODY WINS.
It is frustratingly difficult to come to a conclusion what is going on, especially if you're a layperson in terms of military matters. On one side you obviously have the Russian shills, but also /pol/ mongoloids and reactionaries sucking Russia's dick hyping Putin to be this last hope against the Cathedral, Globohomo or whatever you want to call it. On the other side you have equally chromosomocally challenged speds turning any discussion into a pro-Ukrainian copium den. You see Olympic gold medal performances of mental gymnastics trying to explain even Ukrainian defeats into somehow the Russians getting felted in ways Ethan Ralph tried to spin his last court room fiascos into a W and displays of cope and delusions I haven't seen since Charlie Fucking Zelenoff. As blatantly nonsensical as Russian disinfo and propaganda is, the Ukrainian propaganda provided us so far with weapons grade cringe and genuine Reddit moments like the Ghost of Kevin. It's hard trying to be a True Neutral baka gaijin.

Personally I've been following the Military and Foreign Affairs Network. The guy so far has been doing his best trying to analyse the conflict from an impartial and purely clinical perspective. No cringe, no bullshit, no shilling, just straight to the point.

As for the war itself, unless we witness some major black swan event, I am - as I'm writing this - going with a Russian victory. Decisive or Pyrrhic remains to be seen. However, the most interesting part is going to be the post-war period and the ramifications of this shitshow.

Yes, actually they do, it's one of the few treaties that when you throw it out the window it opens you up to massive consequences. Once you've broken the no selling nukes rule, you can't put the genie back in the bottle. If they do that, how long do you think it would take for the US to hand Finland and Sweden nukes, probably for free?

I refuse to believe that imbecile can be winning at anything.
Broken clocks are right from time to time. Agreed. That fat treasonous fuck should go play minecraft.

Cries in Czech silvertip 7.62x54R. I miss that stuff. My Saiga value tho 👍

So as long as theres even one Ukrainian left alive in the world, Ukraine has beaten Russia.
Russia has become a genius in this scenario, they can get table scraps (taking over Donbass plus maybe a land bridge to Crimea) to what they actually wanted (Regime Change with potential of future annexation of Ukraine) but because they never said explicitly they wanted regime change they can play off those table scraps as a supreme victory.

Wow! I'm just... Wow! Personally I would like some confirmation. But if true that's just staggeringly stupid.

If true it's yet another example of what has always been the Soviet/Russian Military's biggest problem. The lack of a professional corp of Non Coms. Seargents and Chiefs whos job is to largely prevent officers from having the troops do something so mindfuckingly stupid as dig holes in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Or light fires in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Or even entering the motherfucking Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
