I've been trying for days and days to figure out how to shade this thing, I want to put some soft reflections from the little Christmas lights but every time I try, it looks bad, and then I scrap it. I'm at my wit's end here, can somebody please give me some tips/suggestions?

Firstly, I'd go with fewer overall lights, it'd make the source of your highlights that much easier to sort out....

Pretty much. Maybe how it could work is a poll is taken to decide what the next idea would be to work on, and it either changes to another idea or a continuation of the previous one and so on.

To celebrate my birthday yesterday...
So my beloved momma and poppa got me my very own Wacom Intuos Pro (drawing tablet) for my birthday on Dec 13th. Now I can draw my own 100% digital art without any paper! To celebrate this new gift, here's a jungle babe I drew with it in Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint.
These days, whenever Apple needs to put out a product more innovative than yet another iteration of the iPhone, who do they call to their brainstorming sessions? The iNecromancer! For only she can summon the ancient wisdom of Steven Paul Jobs.
