The Czechs are in nato and have a pretty robust firearms industry, so we at least have that. Same with Bulgaria. But the good old days of pulling mosins and other fun stuff by the crateload from depots is long gone sadly. Maybe we'll get lucky and there's one that's been missed.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep, they say. I would like to believe that better things will come about someday but I dunno. At least it's not an election year or else sales would be through the roof and nothing would ever be able to be found.

there's a lot of overlap between a civilian space program and military research and development efforts related to ballistic missiles and aviation

Nah, Ukraine is totally winning and the Russian military is close to collapse, Ukraine changing its negotiating position to accept neutrality, accept it will never join NATO, give russia a veto over any foreign troops or military exercises occurring in Ukrainian territory, accept it will not attempt to reintegrate Crimea through any means other than negotiation, and agree to discuss the status of the Donbass republics, thats just an incredible display of magnanimity on Zelenskyyyyys part

Ironically, the scaremongering about nuclear makes Russia stronger as Nuclear is the only viable replacement for fossil fuels..

There is scare mongering and then there is being fucking retarded. The big two nuclear disasters, Chernobyl and Fukushima, fall under the fucking retarded category. The former for using graphite tipped control rods with no containment vessel and the latter for putting its back up generators below sea level in a tsunami zone.

That said just because nuclear energy is generally safe does not mean it's safe. You can't be cavalier with it, and if those Russian soldiers did dig trenches in the red forest without protective gear, they are dead men walking.
